We’ve been sold a lie.
That if you’re not exhausted, you’re not trying hard enough.

That the goal is to do more, have more, prove more. The result: brilliant people running on fumes, building empires they can’t enjoy, reaching goals that feel hollow.

This is what burnout actually is. Not from doing too much. It’s self-abandonment masquerading as ambition.
I wrote Chasing Enough because I watched myself—and thousands of high-achievers—mistake depletion for dedication. I watched us trade our peace for performance, our capacity for credentials, our presence for productivity.

Here’s what I learned the hard way: You cannot build what lasts from empty.

Not a business. Not a team. Not a life.

This book is about the radical shift that happens when you stop chasing and start choosing. When you measure success by what you’ve created AND what you’ve preserved.

When you learn that receiving is a leadership skill.
When you understand that your biggest breakthroughs don’t come from doing more—they come from being resourced enough to see what’s actually possible.

If you’re tired of the hamster wheel. If you know you are made for more and sick of the endless chase to “arrive”. If you’re ready to redefine what “enough” means. If you want to build something that lasts without burning yourself down in the process.

If you are ready to stop performing your life so you can start actually living it,
This is for you.

an embarrassment of riches (pt 1)

I spent most mornings in the wedding lead-up, wandering outside with sentimental playlists in my ears, visualizing and refining so many details, making a thousand tiny decisions. Trying to feel some of the love and monumental moments in advance so I could maybe keep it together on the day-of. (Spoiler alert: I did not.)

And even I just wasn’t prepared for such a profound, transformative, life-quaking experience of love in so many forms.

First, to my love.

There were many years that I wasn’t even really sad that a wedding probably wasn’t in the cards for me. I knew it would have to be a very specific person that I wasn’t even certain existed anywhere or I wouldn’t do it.

He is better than that. He is more interesting and thoughtful and insightful and funny and willing to catch horses and chop all the firewood and let me, no, help me be who I really am than even the hazy dream I had in my head. Committing to be with him always was the easiest and simplest part of the whole thing.

I wrote a 9 page thank you letter to the attendees because of course I did and I won’t try to duplicate that here, but I do want to give some very public credit and it’s gonna take a part two to really get my feelings out.
