🧀🧀🧀🧀🤍GOUDfam… another Pittsburgh rooftop sushi & cocktail spot to add to the list. 👀✨

We were invited to celebrate the grand opening of Okane in downtown Pittsburgh, and this was definitely more than just dinner — it was an EXPERIENCE. 🍣🥂

From the gorgeous rooftop and contemporary Japanese bites to cocktails at the intimate omakase counter, Okane is bringing a fun, elevated Japanese dining experience to the Pittsburgh food scene.

And then came the moment that completely stole the show…

A 168-LB fresh bluefin tuna being broken down right in front of us as part of Maguro Kaitai— a traditional Japanese culinary art that honestly felt like a whole live performance. Watching this massive tuna get carved with those long, sword-like knives was SO freaking cool. NGL also freaked me out bc we were in the splash zone while it was getting carved & its head was next to us the whole time. Easily one of the most unique experiences I’ve had in Pittsburgh.

We sipped on the Midnight Okane + Blood Moon, tried wagyu tartare, amaebi pani puri, smoked salmon mousse and more, then ended the night with champagne. Safe to say… GOUD times were had. ✨

If you’re looking for Japanese food in Pittsburgh, authentic and fresh omakase, a Pittsburgh rooftop restaurant, a unique downtown Pittsburgh dining experience, or a new spot for a Pittsburgh date night or girls night, Okane definitely deserves a spot on your list.

Traditional Japanese sushi + bold contemporary flavors + rooftop vibes + sushi tacos + omakase + premium matcha… Pittsburgh, we’ve got a new one. 💅🍸
