Picked her up, loaded the dog, and no plan. Just a Sunday that turned into exactly what we needed.

Wine farm roads, the market, and good company. This is what a good weekend actually feels like.

“I cannot give you solutions for all of life’s problems,
doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you, and together we will search for answers.

I cannot change your past or your future.
But when you need me, I will be there.

I cannot keep you from falling,
but I can offer you my hand so you can get up again…” - Jorge Luis Borges, “A Poem for Friends”

It’s been a while, but I’m trying to post a bit more regularly again now.

Here’s some tests with @chelle.side from awhile back on the @sigmaphoto_sa 23mm f1.4 and 10-18 f2.8 to look at how the two compared for portraits on the @fujifilm_sa X-H2.

10-18 is an unconventional focal length for portraits but something about ultra-wide low angles has always intrigued me, especially when shot with a more moody scene. I lit this with @nanlite_global Pavo’s and a bounce as it was actually pretty terrible lighting outside. The wider apertures in the Sigma lenses helped a ton in getting the shots to still feel light with limited fill.

Which shot is your favourite? Photograph of young brunette woman in green sweater on a couch against a brick wall on a Fujifilm camera with a Sigma lens.
