Calling all future musical theatre majors — this one’s for you!

If you’re prepping for college musical theatre auditions this year, come spend three days with a team who’s each lived the Broadway dream — 22 Broadway shows between us — pouring every bit of that experience into the next generation of collegiate artists.

You’ll be in the room with:
• Scott Barnhardt — founder of The Creative College Journey
• Katherine Tokarz Dyson — now guiding performers as a licensed therapist
• Chelsea & Geoff Packard — University of Michigan BFA faculty
• And me, Jessica Lea Patty— 7-time Broadway vet & college prep coach

Together we’ll dig into mock auditions, prescreen self-tape skills, dance prescreen guidance, song & monologue coaching, essays/apps/interviews, and vocal + mental health while auditioning — plus a live Q&A panel with U of M’s BFA faculty & so much more!

August 21–23, 2026
Professional School for the Arts | Torrance, CA
Limited to just 10 artists.

Playing Gilda Radner has been the greatest gift of a role — unlocking more depth, more wackiness, more childishness, more love, more heart, more characters.

I’m feeling overwhelmed now with gratitude for my incredible community of friends, family and fellow artists who made the time to support us. Flying in from LA, San Diego, folks from Chicago, Ohio and all over Michigan - you make me feel so loved, seen and celebrated. Didn’t grab pics with everyone, but know I’m so so appreciative that you came out to @tippingpointtheatre ❤️

Thank you thank you thank you especially to:
@thenotoriouskoc for the true connection and play
@therealbriansage for the freedom and precision
@carygitter for writing Gilda with gusto and heart
@tracyspada for liiiiiiights and balance
@alicia.moore.5458 for quick change magic
@julestheglam for your trust & giddy house speeches
@eric.szanto for your enthusiasm and organization
@shelbynewport for comfort, suspenders, Shelby pants
@samtransleau for curves to slide and ride
@miahharley for fantasy dream lights
@zuul_loves_dana for Dad Band meets G&G land
@michiganmevai for true partnership
@surfrush1 for business crash courses while babysitting
@savarose123 for photos, curl tips and ticket swaps
@wallace.bridges for sweet snaps
@trish.m.brown for those properties

Thank you, more please. ✨

On April 3rd, 2005 we premiered our very first work, Edges: A Song Cycle, at the Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Grateful to our wonderful University of Michigan musical theatre family for showing up and supporting us from the very beginning. 21 years later, we have so much love for our friends and classmates who helped make that improbable dream come true.

An extra special thanks goes out to Whitney Bashor, Chelsea Packard, Nick Ardell and Nick Blaemire for singing our first songs and helping us believe we could become songwriters one day. We will always hold such a special place in our hearts for our original Edges family. ❤️
