Quiet luxury isn't a trend. It's how status works at the top.

Logos are a language built for strangers. The further up the market you go, the less a piece needs to announce its label, and the more the details do the talking: fit, fabric, a signature style that is unmistakably yours.

Chellie Carlson's point is that fit does more work than budget. It's also the one thing you can't buy off the rack.

Good taste cannot be bought. It is an evolving practice.

What's the quietest luxury you own?

Episode 5 with Chellie Carlson, now playing.

What do you think is one thing women need to stop believing about starting over? We want to hear below! 👇

We asked some of the incredible women in our Village this question when we gathered together, and I loved hearing all of their different perspectives.

Starting over can feel scary, overwhelming, and sometimes like you’re the only one figuring it out. But I think one of the most beautiful things about having a Village is realizing just how much we can learn from one another.

We can’t film ANYWHERE without the midlife movement finding us. 😂✨

We set up to shoot, and a man strolls through… and turns out he’s a full-on advocate. He knew exactly how hard this season hits women and wasn’t shy about saying so. Just a regular guy walking by. 🙌

And this isn’t new. Last year Julie and Pam were filming in Chicago and ran right into @chelliecarlson , who turned out to be styling one of the leaders of the midlife movement, and the conversation took off from there.

Every time we hit record, there’s an unplanned moment of real connection. That’s the energy of Menopalooza.

So here’s your sign: bring your partner. Bring your husband, your bestie, your sister, your coworker. Perimenopause and menopause aren’t a “women only” conversation. The more people in your world who understand what you’re going through, the better! 🩷

📅 Menopalooza is in 4 DAYS — October 18, World Menopause Day, at BT Wildman in Chicago.

It’s time for a Midlife Upgrade.

We wear 10% of our wardrobe and keep the other 90% for… what exactly? 👀

In this clip, @chelliecarlson shares a perspective on something many of us can relate to: having a wardrobe full of clothes but constantly reaching for the same few pieces.

Maybe it’s time to rethink what we keep and give the pieces we no longer wear a second life.

Someone else might be looking for exactly what you already own.

Your wardrobe could be someone else’s next favourite find.

How you dress affects how people treat you. This may ruffle some feathers, but there are studies to back it up...

On this week’s episode of Permission, I’m joined by stylist Chellie Carlson. We talk about:

- Why you keep buying clothes but still feel like you have nothing to wear
- How to find your style and feel more confident in hw you show up
- How to feel comfortable and put together
- What you should really do with those skinny jeans
- Why how you dress affects your life more than you think.

This conversation will have you looking at your closet differently.
Out now on Permission with Jamie Scrimgeour. Follow the show on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or your fav podcast app.

THERE SHE IS 🪞🫰🏼

yes, confidence starts on the inside

but there’s something about putting on the outfit and jewelry, catching your reflection in the mirror and thinking, okayyyy, there she is.

that’s why we invited @chelliecarlson and Drew of @dylanlex into the room at our last Yacht Club On Shore retreat.

not every moment has to be about tweaking your funnel or perfecting your marketing strategy.

because feeling good and looking good does affect your confidence as a business owner (come at me if you want, but I didn’t make the rules)

and time talking about that is just as important as time spent tweaking your funnel or perfecting your marketing message

comment YACHT CLUB if you want to be in the room with us next time.

PS: Yachties get retreat passes to two On Shore retreats every year, and first dibs on our international retreats on private yachts.
