No matter how many years go by, Camp Kurios will always have a piece of my heart. My favorite week of the year, every year.

Oh Camp Kurios, the place that made me who I am, the place that saved my life, and the place that changes lives.

New year. New Place. The same people. These people are home and the most impactful people in my life! There’s many ways to describe kurios, but my favorites are family camp and the closest place to Heaven on earth. It’s not a family camp because we are all actually related, but because we are all related in our Heavenly Fathers family. When I step into camp, I feel like welcomed, joyful, and peaceful. This camp opens their arms to everyone the same way our Father does. That’s why it feels like Heaven on earth.

I cannot wait to come back for years to come. I cannot promise you, this won’t be my last kurios post because this is actually my favorite place ever!!

BEST FIRST WEEK OF SUMMER! I’m so glad I was able to go to Murphy Texas with this amazing group and getting to grow closer to them and get to know everyone better. Seeing and learning about so many religions and people groups was eye opening, here in magnolia the majority of us have heard the gospel, but while we were in Murphy we learned that is not the case there. Thank you everyone who went for making the trip amazing! And aren’t my hair skills so good? And SCRAM!

Murphy Mission Trip! This was my first time going and I think I made the best decision of joining on this trip! I have so many memories I can share but here is what I’ll say, sharing the love of Christ with everyone I encountered was so fulfilling! I know now that it’s not so scary to do because all week long I have been getting out of my comfort zone and telling stories and trying to share the gospel! During summerific I met a lot of kids and got to share my joy with them! I think that was my favorite part, getting in our own little groups and telling them stories about Jesus! I’ll miss this trip so much! But in my soul I’ll always be a banana at heart! Let’s go bananas! SCRAM ❤️💛

Murphy, TX Mission Trip

This past week was such a blessing as I had the opportunity to travel to Murphy, TX with Central Baptist’s youth group and serve alongside FBC Murphy during their Summerific program.

One of the greatest joys of the week was getting to spend time with so many kids and their families. Whether it was through conversations, games, worship, or simply being present, it was encouraging to build relationships and show the love of Christ to children, parents, and even older siblings throughout the week.

I was reminded that God's work is not always seen through dramatic moments or large numbers. While there may not have been countless public professions of faith, I saw the Lord moving in meaningful ways through the small moments. I saw people getting connected to a local church, families engaging with the gospel, and children asking questions and showing genuine curiosity about who Jesus is and what He has done for them.

Those moments matter. Seeds were planted, relationships were built, and the gospel was shared. Trusting God with the results is one of the most important parts of ministry, and it was encouraging to witness Him working in ways that may not always be immediately visible.

I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve, for everyone who made the trip possible, and for the kindness and hospitality shown by FBC Murphy. Most of all, I'm grateful for a safe, fulfilling week and for the chance to be part of what God is doing in Murphy.
