•The most exciting part about this move is how close I am now to my favorite community, @seenlibrary @juniacafe 🤍

After almost two years in hermit mode (quite literally living in the woods) returning to the city has brought such a big shift, both internally and externally.

The last two, almost three years have held so many ups and downs, but something that always kept me hopeful was traveling to Seen Library events. No matter what was happening in my life, for those few hours, nothing else seemed to matter. It was just the books, the conversations, and the beautiful spaces Jordan creates for people to come together.

There is something so special about returning and seeing familiar faces while always meeting new ones. Every time, I leave with something I didn’t arrive with, a new perspective, a conversation I keep thinking about, a book I want to read, or simply the feeling of being more connected.

This last time, I left feeling a little wiser, very inspired, and incredibly grateful that I no longer have to travel so far to see some of the people that inspire me the most

After spending so much time away, it feels really beautiful to be close enough to keep showing up. 🤍•

Our last @seenlibrary gathering of the year 🖤 I know the holidays are always so busy so I appreciate everyone who came to contribute to the book and toy drive with @reinnesplace at @opengallerylb!

Together, we collected over 400 books for @thebooktruck and @theclaremontforum, got together one last time over drinks and conversation, and were able to support @reinnesplace’s kickstarter campaign

We came together to support local communities but also have time to just talk, hang and connect in person before the craziness of the holiday season

Being able to do something with @reinnesplace means a lot to me on a personal level, too. When I had first met @tble.co when visiting the coffee shop, I didn’t know his full story. We just chatted and naturally wanted to do something meaningful together. It was only after that I had learned that @reinnesplace had come about because of a tragic crash — one caused by a drunk driver… something I too have been affected by many years ago, as a passenger in a crash that left me with a broken neck. What @reinnesplace is building out of grief and loss — something centered on love and people — is so important and what we need more of today

Here’s to more of exactly that in 2026. Love you all 🤍 and a special thanks to the volunteers that helped pack up all the books and dropped them off — appreciate you more than you know!!!

@seenlibrary isn’t so much about the books (while obviously that’s a huge part of it!) as it is about the people who make it what it is. While reading is often seen as a solitary activity, I see it as a tool to help us see ourselves and the world and people around us in a deeper way, which can make way for beautiful conversations and meaningful connections that we may not be able to make otherwise

The Reading Room Vol. II was yet another example of this, set in a cozy, sun-filled cottage where we were able to read, get to know one another, enjoy iced lattes and discover new books written by people from different walks of life

Thank you to everyone who came and spent your Sunday with us — especially those who drove quite a distance (from Arizona, Lake Tahoe and San Diego!!) 🤍 always so so grateful x
