First Nutcracker of the season was a gorgeous performance by @pittsburghballettheatre with my favorite current (and former) teachers as Marie, Nutcracker, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. 💕❄️🩰🥜

Merde to @pittsburghballettheatre for their final shows of The Wizard of Oz this weekend! We enjoyed our trip to the Emerald City with them last Saturday (everyone was great, but Madeline Gradle as the Wicked Witch, Kurtis Sprowls as Toto, and the Corey Bourbonniere as the Scarecrow were particular faves 🤩) - if you haven't been yet, you have three more chances between today and tomorrow!

(T-shirts because we can't resist a good on-theme project... As ballet nerds in Pittsburgh, there's no place like PBT ❤️❤️❤️)

Rehearsal director Barbara Bears gave a great class to round out @pittsburghballettheatreschool's master class series for the year. She had especially helpful tips for us about weight placement and coordination in pirouettes - we look forward to putting them into practice in our other classes this week!

We really enjoyed @pittsburghballettheatre's apprentice showcase yesterday evening. The apprentices all did a fantastic job, and it was really fun to see a little bit of coaching by their company mentors, too. Congrats, everyone, on a job extremely well done!

Same fabric, different styles... We loved being fraternal twins in our coordinating homemade leotards tonight! 🥰

What do we love? Ballet (and colorful leotards), of course!

Happy Valentine's Day - hope you are celebrating something YOU love, whether it's a person, friends, pets, or something you do just for you 🥰

We had a great time in @diyohe's master class at @pittsburghballettheatreschool and @pbtdanceandfitness last night. From a tendu combination that got us focusing on our rotation to a dance-y adagio and a challenging direction-switching petit allegro, she kept us both working hard AND having fun. Thanks, Diana - we really enjoyed it, and will try to take your correction about arriving earlier with the arms back to our other classes this week!

We had a blast at today's master class with @pittsburghballettheatre's artistic director, Adam McKinney. Thank you, Adam, for lovingly kicking our butts with your adagio and brainteaser petit allegro, and thank you to @pittsburghballettheatreschool for opening this master class series up to everyone - we were super excited to see that almost a quarter of the class tonight was adult recreational dancers and @pbtdanceandfitness regulars!
