❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
I was honored to sit next to some extremely talented and inspiring woman for "Your shade is perfect" Event hosted by @mujeresofallshades

🖤We spoke about Diversity and Inclusion within the fashion Industry! Shared insight and stories of how we can work to achieve a higher standard when it comes to creating a space for EVERYONE to thrive in! ❤️🙌🏼💯

🤍I was taken back when Franchela asked me to be on the panel! I am so proud of the world she has created and continues to cultivate so that everyone feels loved and welcome! 💕 I felt so much of that love when you asked to be part of this special event! Thank you for including me! 🥹🥰 🙏🏼

💛What can you do to be more conscious of diversity and inclusion in the space you are in???? Great question! 🤣💯 (not sure if you were asking but, you should hear this!)

💜Make sure the space is treating everyone with respect!

🧡Ask questions if you are not sure, request clarification so that there are no “assumptions” (sometimes what “should” happen isn’t always what is thought of )

💚Tell someone! See something, say something! This doesn’t only apply to airports and unattended bags! 🤣but for real! Don’t be afraid to speak up!!!

💙Advocate for yourself AND others!

🤎Use the voice you have to make sure others are heard!

Two years of #CreativeCouncil : A message from CC Director @thetropicofvirgo

“It’s been so exciting watching membership grow over the past two years. With each new member comes a new story, new ideas, and new ways to help each of them achieve what it is they set out to do.

“As Director of the Creative Council, it has been so rewarding to develop this community dedicated to the elevation, success, and quality of the arts and cultural industries here in the valley. Whether you’re just discovering your niche or are a jack of all trades, the Council has ways to engage your passions and expand your resources.

“We provide a safe space for every walk of life to come together, create, and have their voices heard, and that has easily become our biggest accomplishment so far. I’m looking forward to where the Council will be in another two years’ time, all of the people I will have met, all of the connections we will have made, and all of the dreams I will have seen become reality.”

Thank you for two incredible years. Here’s to #YearThree.
