Flint made me. St. Louis helped shape me. ❤️ STL will forever be my second home. It’s where I attended medical school, completed my adult psychiatry residency, found an incredible church family, built lifelong friendships, and became another version of the woman, and physician, I am today. So this wasn’t just a weekend trip. This was a homecoming. From returning to Saint Louis University School of Medicine - my old medical school and residency stomping grounds, to worshiping at Friendly Temple, hearing Bishop Michael Jones PREACH, and getting the opportunity to hug his neck....my heart was full. 🙌🏾 I loved reconnecting with my Xavierites and medical school colleagues, Bill and Choendal, and returning to some of my favorite Central West End spots, including Brennan’s and Bar Italia. My sis Lynette, it was so good spending time with you and the girls! ❤️ Shout out to Fred and Keith on the launch of Opus Kitchen + Lounge - such a dope spot! STL, make sure you check them out. Mike and Hibbler, thank you for an awesome - AND hilarious - night! 😂🤣 Rob, you looked out for me, bro, and I truly appreciate you! And let’s be clear: I could not leave St. Louis without White Castle, stopping by Original Pancake House TWICE, The Best Steak House, Lefty's for Chinese food, and getting that catfish from Schnucks. Whew…damn, I want some more! 😂 A special thank-you to the Angad Arts Hotel and its wonderful staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back! And, of course, I had to get fly in my "The Woke Brand" gear before I left. 😏 Last weekend was peaceful, fun, nostalgic, full of love, good food, old memories, new experiences, and just enough foolishness. In other words, it was a movie. 🎬 To my St. Louis friends, church family, classmates, colleagues, and everyone who showed me so much love - thank you. It felt so good to be home. St. Louis, I love you. I’ll see you again very soon. ❤️ #StLouis #STL #SecondHome #CountryGrammar #Homecoming

We’ve called ourselves “Golden Girls” for many years now as we can relate so well with the show and theme song. But we all know, Dorothy, Blanche, Sophia and Rose have nothing on us!
