Having Chase back home after college has reminded me of something...

Four years ago I left my little small town to start what I didn’t know at the time would be the best time of my life. Thank you to @scaddotedu for the best education. Thank you to my parents for pushing me out the door and getting me through my dream school. But most of all, thank you to my closest friends for being the best friends a girl could ask for. I will always love y’all dearly ❤️

Still reflecting on a whirlwind weekend celebrating our daughter as she walked across the stage to receive her degree from SCAD 🤍

It’s funny how hindsight works. The little girl who spent endless hours creating, crafting, drawing, rainbow looming, crocheting, and turning our recycling bin into her personal art supply store was showing us who she was all along.

At the time, I just thought she was keeping herself busy… and avoiding her little brothers.🙃

Now she’s graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, and suddenly all those little clues make perfect sense.

And I can’t even believe what’s next 🥹. At the end of June, she’ll be heading out back home to Kansas City to begin her career with a locally based luxury residential design firm (more on that soon 😉).

So proud of her, so excited for what’s next, and still trying to figure out how we got here so fast… I love you, @cheney_chase. Watching you become exactly who you were meant to be has been one of the greatest joys of my life. 💖

blessed is a understatement

Hard to sum up what these past 4 years at SCAD have meant to me. Taking a risk to go to Savannah was one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. However I am most grateful for the people I have met and the friends that have become my family. Anyways go bees! 🐝🎓
