No, I don’t mean neglecting your child or being uninvolved.

I mean choosing not to jump in every time they say,
“Amma, I can’t do this.”
“Amma, I’m bored.”
“Amma, where is my…” 😅

Sometimes, we’re so busy making life easier for our kids that we forget to give them the chance to experience struggle, boredom, problem-solving and independence.

So maybe “lazy parenting” looks like:

✨ Letting them figure out a small problem instead of fixing it immediately.
✨ Letting them be bored instead of constantly entertaining them.
✨ Letting them do age-appropriate things for themselves instead of doing it faster.
✨ Letting an ordinary day be just… ordinary.

Because our job isn’t to make childhood completely effortless.

It is to slowly raise humans who believe,
“I can figure this out.” ❤️

So here’s your permission to sit down while your child puts their own shoes on. 😌

You’re not being lazy.
You’re leaving room for them to become capable.

Chennai Mom Tribe ❤️

Not just a moms community, but a safe space for mothers & to-be mothers. 🫶🏻

Moms are always on their toes — taking care of everyone, putting everyone before themselves, and somehow always putting themselves last.

But today… seeing moms travel from different parts of the city, take time out of their busy schedules and show up for themselves made my heart so full. 🥹❤️

It reminded me why we created Chennai Mom Tribe in the first place — to create a space where moms can pause, breathe, connect, laugh, relax and simply be themselves.

I’m so, so proud of each and every mom who chose to take that time for herself today. 🥰

Because you deserve to be cared for too. You deserve the pause. You deserve your tribe. ❤️

Thank you for being a part of ours.
Here’s to growing together, one mom at a time. ✨

With love,
Chennai Mom Tribe 🫶🏻
