Grant title: Targeting diffuse midline glioma with engineered NK cells to overcome antigen heterogeneity

Diffuse midline glioma (DMG) is an aggressive childhood brain cancer with very limited treatment options and poor survival rates, making new therapies urgently needed. This project is developing an innovative “off-the-shelf” CAR-NK cell therapy that harnesses the immune system to target and destroy DMG, with the goal of creating a faster, potentially safer treatment for children.

Grant Title: Enhancing Immunotherapy Delivery for Diffuse Midline Glioma Using MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound

Diffuse midline glioma (DMG) is an aggressive childhood brain cancer with few effective treatments, partly because the blood-brain barrier prevents many therapies from reaching the tumour. This project is investigating whether MRI-guided focused ultrasound can temporarily open the blood-brain barrier to improve the delivery and effectiveness of immunotherapy, with the goal of developing safer, more effective treatments for children with DMG.

Funding for these grants is made possible by the 100% Fund, including: Childhood Cancer Canada, Fight Like Mason Foundation, JAIDASJOURNEY – The Jaida Chartier Foundation, and with support from C17 Council. @fight.like.mason The Jaida Chartier Foundation

Great times last Saturday at @theperrylane annual Guest Spot Barber Showcase!

A huge thank you to all the showcasers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who came out to support.

Together we raised $1,500 for @cheohospital , connected with one another and continued to fortify this beautiful community we’re building in Ottawa and across the country.

I hope events like this inspire others to host their own. The more opportunities we create to gather, share knowledge and support one another, the stronger our industry becomes.

There’s no competition, only community.

More than a game 🫶

Thanks to the generosity of a special donor, we were able to welcome our Golden Families, CHEO and Ronald McDonald House families to the launch of the 18⚡72 Club for a day they won’t soon forget.

From the excitement of game day to a post-game hug from Tim Stützle himself, it was a reminder that the best memories are made when we come together to make a difference for kids and families in our community. ❤️
