We had a crazy idea: bring 40’ containers full of British antiques to Utah. Hard work, lots of help & incredible connections in the UK turned that little dream into THIS.

Every time we open those warehouse doors, you show up, bring your friends, hunt for treasures, and cheer us on. Somehow, you keep making our dreams come true. 🤍

By the end of this Container Reveal weekend, 70% of the new collection had found a home. 🥹 🤍

But I’ll remember most the line outside, the familiar faces, meeting so many of you for the first time (friends even flew in from Texas & Illinois!!), and hugging our team after all the work that made these two days possible.

Thank you, friends near & far, truly.

This is the most common question I get as a CEO coach. A question I’ve personally wrestled with over the years.
@cheriemask and I have worked hard these past 24+ years of marriage to do both: build a successful business AND marriage.

Literally 5 years in the making.
A labor of love that scared her beautiful introverted self to death. 😱😳🤬
“Who am I to stand up in front of anyone and tell them anything?” “Who am I to create content?” “What if people hate it?”
To which I replied,
“Who are you NOT to?
You’ve created a way to make marriage magical amidst growing a 7-figure+ business and raising 4 awesome kids. The world needs to hear from you!” (Yes, this was a 5-year dialogue. 😳😂)
And so we launched last week.
And WOW, what a launch!

There are plenty of business retreats.
There are plenty of couples retreats.
But we believe the world is lacking a retreat that effectively marries both business + marriage.
We believe championing marriage & family is a cause worth fighting for.
We believe building wildly successful businesses that bless millions of people’s lives is a cause worth fighting for.
But if you don’t mindfully build both, one or the other stalls out—or flat-out fails.
We are not OK with that!
And so we are champions for this change.

I have a friend who has chosen her own holiday. She wanted to be proactive in choosing her favorite day!

How fun that Trent + I have been able to create OUR new holiday and OUR new favorite day . . . October 25th.

And it truly truly has quickly become my very favorite day - even though it’s not quite here, the excitement I am feeling is so real (2 weeks from today - not that I am counting the hours!).

I was excited while we dated. I was excited when we got engaged. But the excitement today feels even more deeply tender. Similar to that idea that simplicity comes only through complexity, this level of excitement is a hard earned excitement because of the number of freak-out moments I have had over the past weeks and months.

Just a few billion tears. A few billion ah-ha’s. A few billion mental shifts. Each guided and graciously taught by Heaven, my parents, my sisters, treasured friends, and mostly by Trent.

Trent has proven over and over that he is the man I want to do this life and eternity thing with. His patience, kindness, tenderness, and willingness to learn and grow with me has created a safety that I never ever thought I would find.

I knew he was safe while we were dating (I guess that should be obvious otherwise I wouldn’t have been dating him!). AND, over and over I have experienced the deep emotional, physical, spiritual safety and care I feel with Trent.

For me, I have realized that this safety is currently, the greatest form of love I know how to receive. Which makes these 14 days of a count down to October 25th some of the most exciting 14 days of my life!

These next two weeks are even sweeter, because within these next 14 days we celebrate the birth of Trent’s late wife, Carolynn.

I am regularly in awe and feel honored and, honestly overwhelmed many times, that I get to add my love and nurturing to the family she so beautiful created. I feel such a tender gift of responsibility to hold them well for her, while adding my heart and soul to Trent
and Ashley, Jenna, and Tyler.

So here’s to the happiest and most exciting Octobers of my life! Happy happy countdown!

(This is what a sweet friend said to me recently.)

I have always thought my natural hair color was a bit ordinary. My hair struggles in some big ways because of lupus. Growing up it was called, DIRTY DISHWASHER BLONDE. Like who wants hair of dirty water? 🤪

For many years I highlighted it. Brightened it up to be less ordinary .

Then about 5 years ago (or 6 🤔) I stopped coloring it. Gray is now showing. And it is now just the color God gave me.

I have been really fine with it. Honestly. But still saw it as pretty ordinary. Until my friend @katieann_bahr saw it differently.

Please no hate.🙏 I AM NOT SAYING I LOOK LIKE TAYLOR SWIFT. REALLY I am so not! 🚫

I am just saying - because of my friend, and Miss SWIFT, I see something that I've seen most of my life as ordinary now as extraordinary.

It has got me thinking about the power of our thoughts. The power of the stories we tell ourselves. And the power of changing our lenses. Nevermind the power of mega stars 🌈 like T.S.

What if that ordinary STEWARDSHIP God has trusted you with is actually pretty EXTRAORDINARY ?!?!

What if you start to see the ordinary as extraordinary? What changes for you?

Let me be that friend,

Full confession.

It is now almost the end of January, and the clarity I have been seeking since last May, hasn't come yet.
I am still not clear on a lot.

Maybe you too are in a just-trying, waiting, questioning, wondering, surrendering and confusing season?

If you are - just be a little more gentle, curious, patient, hopeful, soft and present.

I have been public about my season of sacred waiting and unexpected endings in 2023.

I had an internal line that said 'don't make decisions until fall, wait to have clarity.' Then...

Fall came and went.
The holidays have come and gone.
And I am still in limbo.

I don't know when God will reveal next steps.
I am still in a lot of limbo both professionally and personally.
This is not knowing - it is staying faith.

So this week, after my internal dates passed, I surrendered at another soul level.

I am still in the sacred WAITING.

Are you?

Lovely, God is invested in your personal PLAN OF HAPPINESS.

So come and sit awhile longer while God works on your miracles.
