IT’S BEEN ONE YEAR AND 5 DAYS SINCE I QUIT MY JOB.

A bit over a year ago I gave my resignation while at a coffee shop in Paris. It was not as scary as it should have been. I knew it was time. And in the last year I learned and achieved so SO much. Here’s a recap of some of those things. I immediately thought of more after I finished editing this so there will be a part 2.

I spent the evening at @crowstheatre enjoying Primary Trust, a moving play about a man caught at the crossroads of life and forced to make a profound change.

Primary Trust is exactly the type of play you need in your life right now, as connection and courage continues to be a vital theme this summer. Not only can soccer bring us together but so can art and theatre.

Made my way to the 🐦‍⬛ Crowsnest @crowstheatre for the opening night of Primary Trust!

This heartwarming production took me on an incredibly human journey, with hopeful and happy tears being the end point. 🥹

Making its Ontario Premiere with direction by @cherissarichards and starring Durae McFarlane as Kenneth, this Pulitzer Award-winning piece is sure to tug on the right strings of your heart.

Shoutout to the incredible ensemble cast: @djpaulydij (recently seen in “How to Catch Creation”), @ryanhollyman (recently seen in “Cicadas”), @peternbailey, and @daniloraytunes!

I also loved stepping into the Primary Trust universe by trying the signature cocktail at the bar “Mai Tai for Kenneth” which was absolutely delightful! 🍹

Altogether a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend you see this show!

Last night, @crowstheatre openee Primary Trust. Winner of the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Primary Trust is a poignant meditation on connection and the courage it takes to transform your life. Written by Eboni Booth and directed by @cherissarichards , the post-theatre audience buzz was that many had to fight back the tears as the simple yet powerful storytelling hit people in their feels. Amazingly acted, especially by @djpaulydij and @ryanhollyman who played multiple roles at the drop of a hat and @peternbailey for his role - but the emotional centre of the play is duraemcfarlane whom you must believe to be truly immersed in his world. A must see:
