Meet Johnny, our Horse of the Week at Cherokee Park Ranch. 🐴

At 16 years old, this draft horse has been part of the ranch since 2014, and he’s earned a reputation for being one of the gentlest horses around. Johnny is completely unfazed by just about anything and is happy to carry riders of all ages and sizes. Really, he just wants attention. 🤎

His personality is a lot like a dog in a horse’s body: goofy, playful, and sweet. He’ll even meet you on the porch and beg for alfalfa cubes like he hasn’t eaten in days. 😂

One of Johnny’s signature moves? Flapping his lips together while you ride. He came to Cherokee Park Ranch with June, his former driving teammate, and the two have been together ever since.

If I ever make it back to this place, this is the cabin I want. All the way at the end and with its own private pond!

Spent a week at a horse ranch in Colorado at the end of the summer. Lots of opportunities for amazing scenery pics. More to follow.
