If you can't find the light, I will sit with you in the dark

’Tis the spooky season, which means I will always love putting this shoot back on the feed. 🖤

A few years ago, we created a wedding editorial inspired by the peculiar charm of the Addams Family, the eerie romance of the Haunted Mansion, and the idea of a Victorian-era haunting with a modern twist.

Dark wood. Candlelight. Fog. Draping. Pearls. A ghostly veil. A little drama. A little whimsy. A love story that felt moody without feeling like a costume.

This shoot waited patiently for the right home, and it finally found one in @rocknrollbride’s September gothic issue.

Seeing this one in print feels extra special — not only because it was such a fun creative experiment, but because it reminded us that some work takes its time finding the right place to live.
