POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It helps to understand what is happening for candidates that you might want to be hiring. It’s extremely competitive out there and you have to find a way to have an edge.

If you want a team to provide that edge and be the recruiting extension of your team - let’s chat about what that looks like.

If I look sleep deprived it’s because we had a newborn a few weeks ago on top of parenting our other young kids 🫩🤣

Our model is very different from most recruiters and not just from the fee structure. It has been developed over time to make hiring a great experience for our partners. If you want to know more how our process looks week to week - happy to share more and give a sneak peek into our live candidate dashboard our clients get access to.

We are placing incredible people constantly with builders, construction companies, and medical offices that are deserving of great people.

(Yes we find OBGYN Nurse Practitioner’s and Custom Home Project Managers all in the same week haha)

When you eliminate placement fees, commissions, and being paid based off a percentage of salary then the whole experience changes.

You won’t get a fluffed resume, a coached up candidate, or a recruiter that’s overlooking the little things to just get someone placed.

You get a real partner in hiring, that has your best interests in mind and intentionally approaches interviewing/vetting candidates with that in mind.

You get open an honest discussion, and not some polished pitch about a candidate. Reducing hiring risk, saving time & money, and actually finding the right fit.

If you want to know more about our process and how it’s changed recruiting from what most people think - let’s talk

🤓🥳 Collective Success!

A big thanks to Julia at Pella for hosting yesterday’s Curious Builder Collective in Austin!

With a focus on Investors and Financing the conversations allowed companies to trade notes on a part of the home building world that asks: What happens if you start with a project first? We are so used to bespoke projects originating with our clients that it’s a big mental shift to think of taking all our neighborhood know-how and frequently requested must-haves from clients and incorporating them into a home. The upside? Making a home for sale thats ideal for a homebuyer who doesn’t have the time for the multi-year custom process.
We talked about lenders, proformas, deal structures, exit strategies, and how to mitigate risk. Contract types, software tips, and even a side convo about panelized construction found its way into the mix.
Face to face time with your peers is really hard to beat and with the Collective framework it’s easy to fuel the conversation.

We appreciate everyone coming out and sharing your experiences! Looking forward to doing it all again in September when we discuss Team Management / Hiring & Firing.

Every builder eventually learns the same lesson: the right team changes everything — and the wrong team can cost you years.

Our first Curious Builder Collective takes place March 20th at Serena & Lily’s new downtown showroom.

We’ll be discussing Team Management — Hiring and Firing, with an industry expert sharing real stories from companies that faced difficult decisions when aligning their teams with the right people.

A small group of builders.
Open conversation.
Real takeaways.

My first @kbis_official and @intlbuildersshow in Orlando, Florida was a success. It was a week packed with knowledge, innovation, and new connections. Doing it with my ladies from @buildher_summit was a special experience.

While hanging out at the @emsertile booth with Trapper from @roderickbuilders I wanted to ask why he came to IBS. He’s building incredible homes out in Park City, UT and creating great partnerships along the way.
