As a part of Tracy Baack’s street team, some of us got the opportunity to once again be on an annotating team- this time for her book 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴. This is where a group of us sent around a book and took turns doing our own annotating before sending it on to the next person, and eventually back to Tracy. In anticipation of her latest release, 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 we had the best time highlighting, underlining and tabbing all of our favorite moments in this book.

I don't often post about books that weren't ARCs... But when I do, it's because they're REALLY good. This was my first buddy read (with @cherwhatyouread and @kindredkindle8651) and boy was a it a good one. Hilariously unlucky and all kinds of swoon and yearning?? 🥰😍🥰 And so fun to be able to meet @bmonsonauthor! And if you want to understand the inside joke of the picture... Read this book.

Saved the best for last! 3 of us buddy read “The Wedding Jinx,” in preparation for meeting her and I had her my running commentary! Let’s just say the laughs were often and a new inside joke was formed. Just remember a single thumbs up is a NO GO and 2 or more are accepted with much fondness and hugs! Loved meeting you Becky!

Wowee... It's taken me a long time to post about how amazing @adesertbookaffair was! Maybe because I'm still wishing we could go back? (Also could we please go back to that weather?? Pretty please?)

As always @meredithloganauthor did an incredible job putting together an amazing event with wonderful authors. I loved getting to hear from and talk to these amazing women. And I loved getting to talk to and connect with so many other readers! (Even if I don't have a lot of pictures with them)

If you've thought about going to a bookish event... Is there a better one than Arizona in February?? Definitely recommend putting it on your calendar for next year!

I love this event! Year 3 was an adventure for me as me and my sprained ankle showed up extra early to get the next seat in the house! This is the first year I didn’t bring someone with me but I met up with friends I connected with over the past few years! Can’t wait to see who Meredith has lined up for year 4!

🌵ARIZONA🌵

Have you ever been in the same room as a bunch of other book lovers? It is literally a straight shot of dopamine! It was so much fun to see some book friends again—and to meet new ones!

@hollys_book_musings hosted a book exchange on Friday evening, and it was the best way to end a loooong travel day! Thanks for all of the work you put into that, Holly!

And then @meredithloganauthor hosted another INCREDIBLE @adesertbookaffair event. It was so much fun to chat with the lovely authors and to connect with other bookstagrammers and book lovers. Thank you, Meredith, for the absolutely wonderful time!

What a weekend! If you haven’t gone to a book event yet, put it on your bucket list! They’re so rejuvenating to the soul. 😊

I had so much fun at the @adesertbookaffair this weekend! There were 8 amazing authors in the panel and it’s always so much fun to get to know them a little better! I saw so many local friends and @lexislimitlesslibrary totally surprised me by driving down! I had so much fun with her on the @the_reader_ship cruise (which I still need to post about) so it was so much fun to get to spend time with her again! Everyone says it which makes it sound so cliche but it’s true! Bookstagram is so much more than just sharing amazing books, I have made so many friends online through this platform but hanging out IRL is a million times better! Thank you @meredithloganauthor for another great event! If I didn’t tag you I met my limit but it was so great to see you all!

📖Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend Exchange📖

Last night was a blast!

With A Desert Book Affair today, I decided to host another wrapped book exchange. And with it being Valentine’s Day last week, I thought we could focus on the fictional men in the book we chose to exchange. I got the idea from some friends who did a similar exchange last year.

For the record, I don’t love the term “book boyfriend”. But it served its purpose for this exchange.😉

I loved that we even had 3 out-of-towners here!

It was a blast and all of the blind dates sounded amazing.

We exchanged the books a little differently this time. We played reversed “musical” books and passed the books to music, stopping when the music stopped, with some reverses thrown in. Then we exchanged according to statements I shouted out, like “if you are wearing blue, stand up and exchange!”

Everyone seemed to have fun!
Some brought a yummy treat for us all to share. I was so full from dinner, I didn’t really get a chance to eat much.
