POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

ONE MONTH since NEW YORK MOVIE came out & I seriously can't get over the response to the film.
It truly means the world to me so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to anyone who watched, attended a screening, shared, reviewed, rewatched ❤️
I thought now would be a perfect time as any to look back at some BTS from the shoot and say THANK YOU to the TEAM who came together to make the film happen in the first place.

The film is available to watch on @youtube @vimeostaffpicks @trove.watch @dobedoprojects and now i'm happy to announce on @nobudge !!
this clip of me eating a hotdog is from a 'meet the director' video I made to accompany the film on NoBudge - check it out on their website if you want to hear me talk nonsense about myself and the film.

Will getting to know his co-star Demarcko.

BTS of Will committing to getting mustard all over his crotch at the end of the most hellish 2 day shoot I've ever been on. I am eternally grateful @wheels_duncan !!

Working with Will was an absolute dream, he would kind of do anything that I asked him...🤨 without questioning... I'm being dead serious when I say that he may be the greatest actor of this generation and I can't believe he agreed to do any of this dumb sht for our movie.

Thank you Will.

Will getting to know his co-star Demarcko.

Animated sequence by the king of all Kings @stuarthillart
I came across Stuart's work a little while ago and felt an instant connection to his work. We had a lot of the same points of reference and taste... when we chatted for the first time we gushed about the work of Ralph Bakshi for a really long time and I knew I was in safe hands. Among good company.

As we've shown the film at a couple places now & since putting it out it's funny, this one shot is the thing that stays with people. If I'm remembered for anything in life maybe it'll be for getting Stuart to animate this one shot in my short film.

For this shot I had Stuart animate it by hand and once it was composited with the filmed background I shot the sequence from my laptop screen on my bolex super8 camera. It was a bit of a gamble hoping it'd work. But as you can see, it worked perfectly:)

Thank you Stuart.

For Issue 202, Baby It’s Cold Inside

“I’m always harming myself,” says Morocco-born, England-based experimental artist babymorocco. Known as much for his frisky contemporary electropop as he is for his use of his own body as a site of artistic inquiry, the musician and performance artist has become widely beloved for his use of character as a means to invite his audience in. “But I also want to punish people with [my] characters.”

Following the 2024 release of ‘Amour’, Babymorocco will be releasing a California-inspired psychedelic trip hop album this year. He will also soon appear in forthcoming A24 series ‘It Gets Worse.’
