Had a super time on a super yacht cruising the beautiful Sydney Harbour yesterday with Aussie country artists @saraberkimusic @jamesjohnstonmusic and touring from the US @stellalefty Stella has the hit song ‘Boston’ from her debut album Long Way Home via @warnermusicaustralia 💿 I really like tracks ‘Slow Dancin’’, ‘Summer You Were Mine’ and ‘Something To Lose’ with @vincentmason It was wonderful catching up with industry mates, meeting new faces and of course getting a little time to chat with Stella and becoming her unofficial Aussie Nonna — Haha Lovely to have my daughter with me too, she’s tagged along bts since before she could walk and I was glad to have her drive me from Tamworth to Sydney and back in one day. Thank you to the wonderful team @warnermusicaustralia — what a day! [ some photography supplied by @warnermusicaustralia captured by @bcsimaging ]

A little snippet from the brand-new video clip for “Country Boys, Cowgirls and Horses”, coming out this week! 🎶 The song was inspired by meeting a few locals in a one-horse town in South Australia during our recent tour. They were so passionate about their patch of ground and banded together when outsiders drove in and laughed at where they lived and what they had. One bloke summed it up perfectly: “We don’t like it when they look down on us, but if they want to be shown around the place, we’ll do that, no worries. The only problem is, after they’ve infiltrated the community for a few days, they don’t want to leave!” That’s the spirit behind this song — being proud of where you come from, standing up for your community, and showing people that the best places in the world aren’t always the biggest ones. “Country Boys, Cowgirls and Horses” is out Wednesday, 9 September, on all platforms. A massive thanks to local identity, Jeff Usher for his Stirling acting role, which we believed he nailed! #KatherinesHughJackman Filmed and edited by Simon Manzie and Rafael from Global Headquarters Darwin. #CountryBoysCowgirlsAndHorses #CountryMusic #TrueBlue #SmallTownPride AustralianCountryMusic

Ekka’s 150th birthday celebrations EkkaNites and more great memories made Thank you Tony Laffan - the most fun gig I’ve ever had and super professional, friendly team @ian_skippen - felt like we’ve been working together for decades, really enjoyable @felicitykircher - for being my beautiful guitar and vocal accompaniment for National Anthem A thrill working with talented performers who I usually happily pay to see like @aussiefmx and V8’s Opening the show in a couple of hot laps in the Holden V8 Ute is something I’ll never forget If you’d have told me as a kid in the 70s, on Machinery Hill cheering on the Monaros in the Holden Precision Driving Team that I would one day be out there I wouldn’t have believed you 🤗❤️ Oh and thank you mum for making my red western shirt for StarMaker ‘92 it was great to give it another wear #ekka #holdenprecisiondrivingteam Happy 150th birthday Ekka here’s to many more

On Saturday night, I was a top 12 finalist in the @theekka Country Music Showdown… and I am SO grateful to have walked away with first place! 🏆🤠 Along with the title, I also walked away with an incredible package of goodies to help set me up for the next chapter of my career and I couldn’t be more excited! First of all, I am beyond thankful to the incredible judges who saw something in me and believed in me enough to give me this amazing opportunity. Thank you to my family, who have always believed in me and given me nothing but love and support for my chosen career. I truly wouldn’t be where I am without you. And a special thank you to my sister for dropping me off at the Ekka so I could avoid the long train ride 😂❤️ A huge congratulations to my fellow finalists, who put on such an outstanding show! It was an absolute honour to share the stage with such talented artists. I’m so excited to see where your music takes you, and I’ll be cheering you all on! 🎶 And a big congratulations to my fellow winners @pete_rogers_music, @goldie_cosgrove_ & @ellerieroseofficial! 🏆 What an incredible group of artists to share this experience with! Thank you to @bella.ihaia & Wolf for organising the night and making sure everything ran smoothly! Finally, thank you to the wonderful team at the Ekka for putting on such an incredible event and creating opportunities like this for artists. I’m so excited to get back into the studio and record some more music for you all! 🎶🤠 Thank you for believing in me. 🤍✨

Walked up the Tamworth Lookout this morning, always feel so proud seeing my Pop’s photo and name weaved into the history of Australia’s country music capital. [ Gentleman Geoff Brown — First person to sing country music in a venue in Tamworth back in the 1960s and actually in a home video we watched last year he mentioned he was singing at local rodeos in the 1950s ]
