There’s something about the shared confusion in how we make culture. Taking our first group selfie with the #iphoneduo felt clunky. But it wasn’t really about getting a cute group pic. It was about taking the photo together, with this new thing, to kind of commemorate it. Like how the first thing anyone did with a new MacBook was open Photo Booth and squeeze everyone into the frame. It took me right back to high school, where my friends and I took endless photos on digital cameras and Photo Booth that ended up filling our Facebook albums. And none of those photos were good. But now, we’re aware. We know how we interact with this thing isn’t just gonna define how we use it, but the media we make with it. So we fix our appearances like we always do, but for this new... camera angle? Form factor? Normal? Reality? And it makes my heart jump to know we still have ways to go as humanity, even with something as simple as a picture. Welcome to the awkward phase. And yeah, yeah, the folding iPhone is late. All I’m saying is there are circles that have been taking photos with folding phones for the last couple years, and I’m glad to finally join them. Our first photos are gonna be bad. But that was never the point, right?

Meet the Cast of Drunk Bollywood Live! Chhavi is an NYC based performer who has Bollywood running through her veins (and not in the nepo baby way). She started dancing at a young age, practicing by rewatching her one DVD of Aishwarya Rai’s top hits and trying to look as good as her in “Ishq Kameena.” These days, she spends most of her time teaching Bhangra and training across various styles. She’s beyond excited to return to the DBL stage for her 3rd season and hopefully figure out the answer to “yeh pyaar kaise hota hain” If you didn’t get tickets to join Chhavi at Gurukul this fall don’t worry - waitlist link in bio 🍁 [bollywood, parody, theater, New York City, mohabbatein, return of Sonia] Pictured: Chhavi as Sonia in our Summer 2026 run of K3G 🍻 All shows are SOLD OUT! Waitlist links in bio!

Banger Song. Banger Shoot. Banger Squad 🔥✨ A one take with 12 people was ambitious but loved how this came together 🥹 This shoot was a great reminder that sometimes dance can just be silly goofy wiggles and giggles with friends (old and new)! Huge shoutout to this team for bringing the energy and trusting me! Also, big thank you to @djswgr for helping out with rehearsal/shoot bts, and hyping all the dancers up for each and every take! (Can’t wait to share the BTS, so everyone can see what I mean 🤭) Concept: @jujuhiondatbeat DC: @jujuhiondatbeat & @yasshkadamm Music: @badboyshah Video: @do.it.prod Dancers: @anuvakay @chhavi.dance @chintanm22 @jujuhiondatbeat @nathalie_wxx @nrnaik20 @ojee_sharma @rachana0104 @rohil_v @sanjubanju @savsalud @sidshah4 BTS: @djswgr #banger #badshah #onetake #danceshoot @sharviyadav @teambadshahofficial

5 shows and 4 characters later…🎤 @drunkbollywood’s latest K3G szn has been my absolute favorite yet!! I learned so much about myself as a performer from balancing four different characters to pacing myself throughout a very hectic July to you name it🥹 Cheers to the wonderful Naina, Rukhsar, Tanya and Mrs. Sprightly for a track full of costume changes, jokes and classic lines you can only find in a KJo movie✨ I cannot believe this is my real life so yes there are more pics than probably needed🫶 Athletic Naina! do do doo doo do do 🎂🎶 You’ll keep her happy… you’ll keep.. Naina happy!! Did Rahul miss Naina? No. The answer is no. ALL that NOISE had to be Mrs Raichand Bestie’s dad is gone or she’s getting married… Welcome to my in-laws’ house (not actually pls) Deewana hai dekho! A DJ??? Audience interaction - my favorite was calling people up on stage to be roasted by Poo! Race ya?? Say Shava Shava No no no don’t do that!!! MORNING Mrs Raichand👋 Yeh ladka hai allah! The team🫶
