With SPARKS, dancers from our company step into the role of choreographers, many of them for the very first time, creating a truly unique evening of ballet.
We are excited to present 10 original choreographies, all of which will celebrate their world premiere this coming Sunday!

“Untitled: graceful, chaotic” was performed as a response to the @pinakothekdermoderne exhibition,“Sweeter than Honey”

“As a response to many political works in the exhibition that emerged in the context of historical and contemporary political crisis, @doroteasaykaly responded on a physical level with the idea of the body on the edge of crisis, a sculptural body that breaks open to reveal vulnerability, with choreographic motifs of resilience, struggle, resolution, and hope. The spatial expansion of a body, that is a permeable, malleable structure situated between mystical being, living sculpture, and cyborg. The title drawing particular inspiration from works by Katharina Grosse and Lawrence Weiner.”

Thank you @freundart and @pinakothekdermoderne @pinakotheken for having us!!!!!!

One room. One week. 20 dancers.
And every week, a new person takes on the challenge of choreographing a unique and exclusive sequel to our dance soap opera »Minutemade« based on this principle: within just one week of rehearsal time, a new piece that picks up exactly where the last episode left off!
