Graphic design for “Vico Magistretti and Japan”, organised at the Fondazione Vico Magistretti. The exhibition examines how a persistent interest in Japanese culture emerges throughout the work of the Milanese architect and designer, who developed projects with Japanese clients and designers, as well as with Italian companies operating in Japan. Archival materials (drawings, photographs, models, objects, videos) are presented alongside 1:6 miniature versions of Magistretti’s furniture, produced within ECAL’s Bachelor Industrial Design programme, and representations of his Japanese architectural projects by Dogma.

MedGum: chewing gum as a drug delivery approach

Chewing gum has recently been recognised by scientists and researchers as an effective alternative to traditional drug delivery methods such as pills, tablets and capsules. MedGum is an applied research project that integrates food production, medical research and design-driven solutions to develop a range of functional medicinal gum. By designing the gum and its structure, it becomes possible to enhance the effectiveness of the medication, improving the speed and dynamics of absorption of active ingredients. Tailored to specific diseases such as stomach disorders, seasonal allergies, migraines and oral disease, each MedGum offers patients a discreet and convenient way of taking their medication.

Tag is on show now in the NYC Kvadrat showroom.

Designed for @kvadrattextiles ‘Rethink’ exhibition on sustainability, ‘Tag’ presents 10 Kvadrat fabrics in the form of tote bags, each with a label that transparently presents the environmental impact of the specific bag through EN15804+A2 certified life-cycle analysis.

Kvadrat is developing various environmentally adaptive techniques, from material sourcing to dry processing, to the complete use of renewable energies, and the labels of each bag transparently communicate the impact of these efforts.

Each bag can be ‘purchased’ by donating to @coolearthaction

Label graphic design by @nicolasbernklau
Production by @chiaratorterolo
Video by @florianamoser
Thank you to @anniina.koivu , the wonderful Kvadrat team and Magda at Cool Earth
