Some projects are more than just work. This was one of them.

I met Shonya “Chef Royce” Williams nearly ten years ago, and over the years, I came to know her as a remarkable woman of God, a woman of her word, and a woman whose ambition and vision were truly inspiring.

Creating memorial tributes is always a delicate responsibility, but it becomes even more personal when you're honoring someone you knew, loved, and respected.

It was truly my honor to work alongside her daughter to bring the vision for Chef Royce's “Last Call” to life. Every detail was approached with intention, love, and the desire to celebrate not just her passing, but the beautiful life, legacy, and impact she leaves behind.

This is the part of storytelling that means the most to me. Beyond the design, beyond the pages, it's about preserving someone's story in a way that feels worthy of the life they lived.

To the Williams family, thank you for trusting me with something so personal. I continue to keep you all uplifted in prayer.

Rest well, Chef Royce. Your legacy lives on.

We were talking young money at this past Youth Biz Expo hosted by @chicagobacp in collaboration with our office! 💸

We reunited with @pursuitlending and @chicago_eatsceo to provide @chipubschools students great eats and financial knowledge during a fantastic day of learning and growing as young entrepreneurs, student leaders, and aspiring innovators.

We're extremely grateful to Interim CPS CEO Dr. King, BACP Commissioner Capifaili, and Chief Megan Hougard of CPS College Career and Success for this amazing opportunity for our youth. It was also a pleasure to see @chicagosmayor as he stopped by to greet the kids and give encouragement. Initiatives like this truly help set future generations on a path of wealth building and financial empowerment.💙
