Esto apenas comienza.

“Bonfire Skies”
A couple weeks ago this piece hung at the Chicago Art Fair at the Merchandise Mart. It’s 36 x 36 on canvas, made with acrylic, spray paint, inks, and stencils, layer over layer… until the sky caught fire.🔥
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth and shared what they saw.

Special thanks to @chicagoartfair & @themartchicago

A little art, a lot of inspiration, and a few new favorites!

Spent the day exploring the Chicago Art Fair at THE MART, discovering incredible artists from around the world and the stories behind their work.

From Pablo Santibáñez Servat’s surreal, photorealistic paintings to Pancho Luna’s sculptural libraries and Natasha Kertes’s mesmerizing lenticular photography, each artist offered a completely different perspective on creativity.

As an interior designer, I love seeing how art challenges our perception, experiments with materials, and inspires new ways of thinking about spaces.

My work confronts the lived reality of autism with clarity and precision. Using oil painting and graphite, I illustrate the internal processes that shape how I think, react, plan, and communicate. These processes are often ignored, dismissed, or misinterpreted, creating more challenges on top of the ones already brought on by my neurodivergency. Rather than masking these experiences to meet the expectations of others, I place them at the center of my practice, treating them as serious, valid, and worthy of acknowledgement. I focus on the constant effort required to function in environments not designed for neurodivergent minds, highlighting the challenges of navigating social rules, managing unpredictable stimuli, and maintaining composure under unseen pressure. By making these forces visible, I challenge assumptions about what is “normal,” “easy,” or expected to be endured. My work asserts that neurodivergent perspectives are not marginal but complete, structured, and legitimate, and it resists the pressure to mask, minimize, or simplify lived experience.

A little look back at my time at Chicago Art Fair 2026.🤩💜

Seeing my paintings on the gallery walls, people who stopped to look closer and connect with my work, every moment made this experience special.

Grateful to God for this experience, to my husband for always being by my side, to Mido Galería for presenting my paintings, and to everyone who took a moment to experience my art. 😍

Every exhibition is a reminder of why I love what I do... creating something personal and then watching it find its way into the world. 🌎🖼️

And if you’d like to explore more of my work, my online gallery is always open. 👉🏼Visit www.ruthdelbosque.org
