Pictures from the @chicagotapsummit ‘s last day. No matter how busy I am, Imma come back to Chicago a couple times a year. This time, I taught an advanced and intermediate class at the summit for the first time, it went better than expected 😮‍💨✨

That Sunday, I got to see pieces by @andrewalexand3rr , @thekalwonder , @_yellowshed and a world premiere of a @noraclark721 documentary about Madd Rhythms. Hoping to hear more developments from that soon 🫪🤫🔥🙌🏽

Forever loving y’all. Congratulations to @maddrhythms on another year ❤️. I’ll see y’all again soon, I’m sure. 🫡

Proud to have conceived this initiative in honor of the late great Audrey “Mama Rhythms” Barrett, who raised today’s generation of dancers and educators here in Bronzeville.

To commemorate her community activism and love of literature, the Mama Rhythms Reading Room will open to community members of all generations to rest, rejuvenate, learn, and connect on October 3rd.

Reach out to donate your gently used books, games, and art supplies today!

Link in bio to learn more and attend the opening ceremony at the Chicago Tap Summit.
