💜 What is Bebéchata — and why do we do it? Bebéchata is more than dancing. 💃🏽👶🏽 It’s a space where pregnant people, moms, dads, caregivers, babies, and young children can move, connect, learn, and simply enjoy being together. We use bachata and other Latino dances as a way to celebrate culture, support movement and wellbeing, and make maternal and family health feel welcoming — not clinical or intimidating. For us, culture is not an “extra.” It can be part of how we build trust, community, and connection. Through Bebéchata, families can: ✨ Move their bodies in a fun and accessible way ✨ Bond with their babies and children ✨ Meet other families in the community ✨ Connect with maternal and family health resources ✨ Learn about wellbeing in a space that feels familiar and joyful ✨ Celebrate Latino culture through music and movement We created Bebéchata because health education does not always have to happen in a classroom. Sometimes it can happen while dancing, laughing, holding your baby, meeting another mamá, or hearing about a resource you didn’t know existed. 💜 That’s Bebéchata: cultura, comunidad, movimiento y salud — together.
