In May 2020, the founder of @subtleasian.baking (SAB), @katlieu, was reminiscing about her recent Tokyo trip. Kat dreamed of Japanese baked goodies and desserts. After scouring the web for recipes and inspiration, she created a Facebook group, SAB, where her friends could share Asian-inspired baking and dessert recipes, and pictures of yummy desserts. Little did Kat know that her facebook group would amass over 61,000 members within five months.

Today SAB is a quickly growing community where people can share Asian-inspired baking and dessert recipes, learn to bake, compete in virtual bake-offs, participate in fundraising activities, and attend virtual bake-along’s. SAB’s mission is to give back to the community and to nurture and cultivate innovation and creativity in a safe, inclusive, and diverse space.

Thank you to @subtleasian.baking for being a longtime supporter of AAPI organizations and community events! To buy the Modern Asian Cookbook, click HERE: https://www.modernasianbaking.com/

And a special thanks to @sparklecakerie and @flours_and_stuff for sharing their stories with us!

27 rotations around the sun ✨️

Last year, as I was sipping a Caiprihani in 🇨🇴, I thought I could never top that off yet; here I am, sunkissed and coming back from a 5 day festival cruise with all of my closest friends. Even though I got sick on day 3, I still had the time of my life and I would've never survived if it werent for the support of my friends, especially @traphoopqueen , you're my lord & savior, seriously!!!

I want to thank the universe for gracing me with these wonderful experiences, gifting me amazing friends, and making me feel happy to be ALIVE. 27 - you'll be one hell of a year!
