🍂🌳 Autumn beauty in Petworth Market Square! 🍁☀️

Our beautiful tulip tree is putting on a stunning autumn display, with its golden leaves bringing a touch of magic to Petworth’s historic Market Square.

What a pretty sight for residents and visitors alike! A ray of golden sunshine presides over the square, reminding us just how special our town is at this time of year. 💛

Sometimes it’s the simple things, the changing seasons and the beauty around us, that make us stop, look and appreciate the wonderful place we call home.

Petworth really is a picture in autumn! 🍂💛

We had such fun this morning being interviewed and photographed by the lovely team behind #ChichesterStory!

The initiative is all about celebrating what makes Chichester and the surrounding district such a special place to live, work and visit, and sharing the stories of the people and businesses that make it what it is. 💛

A big thank you to the team for making us feel so at ease and for such a lovely experience. We really enjoyed being made a fuss of! @chichesterdc @themoderncalligraphyco

Did I get home before that cloud reached me…. No!!
Dell Quay - not long after sunrise, stormy sky, outgoing tide, slight northerly wind and incoming rain cloud!
My fascination for sunrises and sunsets continues - is it the moodiness, the stillness, the new day, end of the day?
It’s the vastness of the sky, the light, the fleeting colours, how the water becomes the mirror - rain or shine, it’s magical 😍

Down the beach early hoping for a beautiful sunrise but that cloud was on the horizon again so had to wait a while. Lovely nip in the air again x

Review: ChichestHER @NoviumMuseum on now till April. Initial gathering celebratory with contemporary #women of the district; a poignant contrast to past lives remembered through perhaps fewer objects. Fitting that the Novium team are women, as makes an especially rich, considered experience to return to. A lot here on the upper floor to peruse; it redresses the recording of women’s history; another exhibition to mark societal re-balancing. Look out for forthcoming talks. #Chichester #southdownsnationalpark #Free/donations

Running your own business teaches you a lot over the years, and it’s a real pleasure to step outside of that and share what you’ve learned with others.

Last month, VAAC invited me to create and deliver a social media workshop as part of training commissioned by Chichester District Council for organisations working in the environmental and climate action sector.

It was an opportunity to share things that have worked for me, offer practical tips and help people find an approach to social media that works for their own organisation.

I thoroughly enjoyed passing on that knowledge and helping others feel more confident. Being able to support people working towards such an important cause made it all the more rewarding.

Thank you to VAAC for bringing me on board, and to everyone who took part. A real honour to be involved.

🌠 Sometimes, the best results come from unexpected disappointments!

Well, not every photoshoot ends in success, and yesterday’s Draconids meteor shower was a perfect example.

After a week of planning, two hours in the cold and hundreds of photos, I managed to capture just THREE tiny meteor trails. And then the clouds rolled in. Game over! ☁️

Disappointed, cold and tired, I drove home.

But on the way back, I remembered that I still hadn’t processed my Perseids photos from August!

So I made myself a big cup of tea, got comfortable and spent the next FOUR HOURS working through more than 600 images.

Lightroom, Photoshop, Nebul and Luminar Neo later, here is the result! ✨

A photograph that brings back the incredible night I spent watching the Perseids above Halnaker Windmill in the south of England. 🌌

Not every photoshoot goes to plan, but sometimes a little disappointment leads to something wonderful. ❤️

📸 Have you ever come home from a photoshoot with absolutely nothing? 😂

Look at that sky 😍
No filters, no manipulation in photoshop (I wouldn’t know how!) - ‘au naturel’ at 7.15 this morning.
A beautifully clear start to the day, but it was chilly with a biting wind down at Chichester Marina.
The weather has taken on a definite autumnal feeling - time to dig out the cycling gloves.
