There’s so much to say I don’t even know where to begin. Making this film challenged and stretched me beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I’ve grown so much!!!!

I’ve gained so much more confidence in myself and my spirituality, purely from the sheer willpower and manifestation that was needed to get to the end of this film. So I just want to thank myself for sticking to the vision and not compromising. I pushed so hard to the very end to tell this story the best way I could. With my limited resources, knowledge and experience, this is my best effort.

But this was not done by myself. to thank every single actor that helped to make this a reality. I want to thank the entire @obodo_nigeria team who met me with so much excitement from the start and helped facilitate every meeting and interview. I want to thank my entire cast and crew for showing up every day, willing to give their all to bring this vision to life. I want to give a special shoutout @kxzxxmx who is responsible for the vast majority of the post-production for this film: core editing, motion graphics AND the 2-minute animation that features in the film. We sat together, week after week for months.

Finally, I want to thank everyone in my community who allowed me yap about this nonstop at every point in this journey: the good times and the bad. Especially those much more experienced than me in sound and film who took the time to calm me down and mentor me. Every single time I called @sardineoil_911 or tronomie_ they picked up. I’m forever grateful.

I’m so proud of this work and there’s so much to say about it. I’m excited to share more and more on @whenwomxngatherseries. This project has granted me the most beautiful, honest and pure experiences of Lagos, Nigeria I could ever ask for. It introduced me to the most wonderful community of insanely talented, kind and sweet people who are forever imprinted on my heart. I can’t wait for the future and to see where else this series takes me.

Went to the beach to unwind as usual and decided to take my controller.

Four sisters. One idea.
A ridiculous number of beautiful, truly one-of-one pieces.

We had an idea of what would happen when we opened the doors. But your presence made that idea so much bigger than we could have imagined.

You came. And kept coming. And brought your friends.

And before we knew it, the room was filled with laughter and conversations, people who came with friends and left with new ones, shopping bags filling up, and “OMG, look at what I found!” echoing from one corner to another.

People lingered long after they said they were leaving.

So this is what happens when you give good things a place to meet good people.

Thank you for making our first one “OURS”.
