“Let Your Hands Do The Talking” — by Setgyallery.

Marking 3 years of Setgyallery, I’m introducing ‘Coudicle’: a line of oud-inspired cuticle oils designed to nourish your nails and hands with six unique scents. Part 1 of the launch honours the hands of creatives, a message spoken to every artist, reminding us all to care for the hands we create with.

So grateful to everyone who poured their energy into this project, creative hands are sooo serious.

A lil’ BTS of my mini movie “Nail Therapy”.

I’ve been sitting on this concept for a little while, debating whether it was delulu of me to want to put together a mini movie for setgyallery w/ no directing experience at all, but then I realised it’s only scary if I keep it in my head. As soon as I told my inner circle, everyone loved the idea, and that confirmed it all for me (to remain delulu lmao).

This has been the most fun I’ve ever had with setgyallery and there was no cooler way to celebrate my two years doing nails then to combine my art world and my nail world.

“Nail Therapy” — Written & Directed by Chii for Setgyallery.

Two years into the nail game and what better way to celebrate than direct and produce my first movie.

A 20–30 second microfilm offering a glimpse into a day with Setgyallery. The film explores the dual role of the nail artist as both technician and confidant, capturing the candid conversations that unfold in the chair.

so far we’ve brought you 8 exhibitions in the intersection of art, culture and interdisciplinary collaboration - all unpacking and critiquing conventional art world norms. We haven’t entered a traditional gallery setting yet nor explored how we could engage with these settings whilst remaining true to our manifesto. We think it could be an exciting opportunity to explore, don’t you….? excited for what’s to come 👀👀👀👀👀 watch this space!
