We move and that is why we are! While other participants were exploring movement from #movementanalytic #fascia and #natya perspectives, one was sitting in a cafe, taking notes and honing into the innate kinaesthetic sense dancers possess, through visual and auditory inputs 😊. This is the kind of commitment despite circumstances that didn’t otherwise allow a more active participation that is so gratifying @childofmonsoon 🩷. Looking forward to the continued interaction with this new cohort of my FasciaNatya programme that started yesterday. Offering it again after taking a break during the last few years to write about and present the practice-based research work. The next Free Introductory Sessions are in October and November for those wanting to know what this is about.

Our very first Adavu Meetup in Hamburg… and our hearts are full 🤍

Thank you to every single one of you who showed up, danced, and shared your energy with us.There was something so special about going back to the basics together and of course, ending strong with a jati ✨

A big thank you to @moksha_movements for supporting us with the organisation and for the beautiful space 🌿

It was not just a meetup, but a space we all want to return to 💃 We can’t wait to share more updates on upcoming meetups!

When a Bharatanatyam jati accidentally syncs with Bridgerton music...safe to say the rehearsal turned into 50% adavus, 50% goofing around 🤭

And honestly… that’s exactly the vibe we’re bringing to our Adavu Meetup 💃
Technique, rhythm, laughter, and community!

Registration link is in my bio :))

Sun, Bharatnatyam and @childofmonsoon !!!
Always the best time practicing together ❤️

The highlight of today's practice was @anand.unni_official 's tishra jati. What an amazing choreography. Took us a looooong time and multiple attempts to learn it. Thank you for this beautiful piece.

@trupti_y forcing us all into these shenanigans. The real question is - who was more entertained - ourselves or the trad audience at the ceremony?

Thanks to @coz_vishwa for project managing and videography

What a complementary production we witnessed! Here are some glimpses of the Purush 2.0 performances, which brought the gods to life by depicting their virtues.
