With South Asian Heritage Month ending, I thought it would be cool to learn and make a reel about type design in Bangladesh ♥️

I focussed on type because language and identity is the basis for existence of Bangladesh today

I hope you enjoy ✨

Please note that my research comes from the internet and I know it’ll never be the same as learning from our ancestors who truly knew the history, and I guess this is super niche

We need to solve corruption before we can have democracy. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. We can follow examples of other countries that have done this before. 🤷🏽‍♂️

🌟 Tackling Corruption with Proven Strategies 🌟

Corruption undermines trust and hampers growth, but by learning from nations like Hong Kong, New Zealand, Chile, and Rwanda, we can implement effective strategies to combat it. 🌍✨

These countries have set examples with their innovative approaches to transparency, accountability, and reform. By collaborating with them, governments can adopt these proven methods and strengthen their fight against corruption. 🤝🔍

Let’s build a future where integrity and fairness prevail. Reach out and learn from the best to create a cleaner, more transparent world. 🌱💪

We are hopeful for a reformed future🇧🇩

Two things can be true at the same time:
Bangladesh is free from an authoritarian leader
AND Bangladesh still has a lot of work to do for a more united nation ✊

We are not done, we are never done. Let’s not replace one dictator with another one. We also don’t want a puppet government by the west, or by India, or by Middle East. Bangladesh is free, independent, and should remain so. ✊🏾💪🏽🇧🇩❤️

From Little Bangladesh Way in Ozone Park, Queens to Dhaka - we stand firmly in solidarity with the students of Bangladesh who have taken a courageous step in organizing against injustice.

Often times in our individual communities we only care about a conflict or a problem when it hurts us directly - but for far too long we have seen these tyrannical regimes use these repressive and draconian actions to silence working class people who are protesting for their rights.

Just last year we saw similar tactics being utilized by the Indian Government which opened up old wounds for the Panjabi community that already suffered so much over the last few decades.

That’s why it was imperative for me to join my Bengali brothers and sisters and stand in solidarity with them and reassure the students of Bangladesh that they are not alone in this fight. We see them, we hear them and we stand in solidarity with them.

You’d be amazed at the intersectionality between our communities, whether it’s past trauma or ongoing turmoil- when we stand together in struggle we begin changing the narrative. It’s when we win!

While thousands of South Asian women raise millions of dollars for Kamala Harris’ run for head of Empire, investigations reveal over 900 people have been murdered by the police and military of Bangladesh. After a nation wide blackout, thousands of people are injured and missing. The protests are no longer about just the quota, they’re the eternal damnation of the Awami League and the demand for the authoritarian ruler to step down. #SaveBangladeshiStudents #stepdownhasina

TAKE ACTION NOW: bit.ly/bdstudentpower

A list of demands by students has been circulated in an underground press release.

1) The prime minister must accept responsibility for the mass killings of students and publicly apologise.

2) The home minister and the road, transport and bridges minister [the latter is also the secretary general of the Awami League], must resign from their [cabinet] positions and the party.

3) Police officers present in the sites where students were killed must be sacked. The police and goons who attacked the students and those who instigated the attacks must be arrested.
