Such a great gathering of women to hear from and support important local causes.

Along with donating valuable funds to local causes by members of @100womenwhocarefv, every guest received a surprise gift from Canadian woman-led jeweller, Hillberg and Berk. What a treat.

The evening was hosted at the gorgeous Manners Cider in Langley BC, family owned and every corner literally handcrafted. A great place for social gatherings, special events and weddings.

So happy to see what started off as a little project become fully backed by @childrensheartnetwork . Sam usually drops off the heart boxes to kids who are currently in patient at BC Children's (@bcchf ) but I was lucky enough to do a few recently! Visit the CHN's website to donate to the cause. 💕

It’s the little things. Probably the ones people don’t think about. Catching tadpoles, campfire, snakes, playing soccer in the field, seeing familiar faces with familiar scars, breakfast with your parents and siblings, canoes…. The list goes on.
Liam doesn’t ever ask for much…. But to have the opportunity to take him and these ❤️‍🩹 babies on fun trips among all the hard stuff, is such a blessing.
With such busy lives, it’s nice to press pause sometimes and take it all in.
We’re so thankful to the @childrensheartnetwork and @campkawkawa for a fun weekend full of the little things that become core memories.

This week we’ll get another look at Charlie’s heart. ❤️‍🩹

On Thursday, he has his first echocardiogram since June 2025.

When people meet Charlie now, they almost always say the same thing:

“He looks so good.” or, “You’d never know.”

And they’re right. He does look good. He’s beautiful.

He’s healthy. He’s growing. He’s getting stronger.

But there is a strange reality that comes with raising a child with congenital heart disease:

The outside doesn’t always tell the whole story.

While it’s an incredible blessing that Charlie looks so healthy, we only get to see his heart once a year.

Thursday is that day.

As grateful as I am, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. Some parts of this journey never quite leave you.

If you’re the praying type, we’d be so grateful for prayers for a healthy heart, that things remain stable and a reassuring appointment this week. 🙏🏻

Last year, we celebrated a new fundraising record with $66,000 raised for heart children and their families. 💖

With hearts full of gratitude, we were honoured to present $33,000 to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation @bcchf and $33,000 to the Children’s Heart Network @childrensheartnetwork.

These funds were raised by our amazing riders, fundraisers, partners, volunteers, and committee members, and will help children living with heart conditions and their families receive more support, care, and resources they need throughout their journey.

As we look ahead to our 15th Anniversary Ride, there is still so much more love we can give. Whether you’d like to ride, volunteer, fundraise with us, make a donation, or become a sponsor, we’d love to have you join us.

Last week I attended the Children’s Heart Network Fundraising Gala and really enjoyed the night. My friend had a bit to much fun with the cork raffle and borrowed my purse to carry them all haha

Not sure who did the catering, but the beef short ribs were really good!
