Montreal has some free Summer Mid-Day concerts in the Downtown area - they are about an hour from Noon to 1 PM. This one was hosted by the Archeology Museum.

Since I wanted to show my guest as much of what the City has to offer and he likes music, we went. This group - @chilischleppers - happened to play Eastern European Jewish music today. It was pretty cool.

My friend's father was Hungarian Jew but he said when the father moved to Ontario as a boy with his family, not sure if it was the experience in Canada or back in Hungary, there was so much anti-Semitism, they basically put all that Jewish heritage behind them. So, he never had exposure to this music.

We got there early thinking we could also catch the @atmmontreal_officiel demonstration at 11:30 before the concert. I didn't even check the weather in the morning since I thought there would be no rain. We actually got a huge downpour and I guess the demonstration was cancelled.

Luckily, before the concert started, the rain stopped and things dried up.

Oh Allo Montréal!

Heading a few hours down the road to check out @larondesixflags & check out @chilischleppers + @dumaidunai down @turbo_haus

There was also a random horror movie convention at the hotel we stayed at, so that was fun! We also did a VR haunted house that actually made @natasha_desiree_ scream throughout 😱 👻 @hoteldraculavr - oh and randomly found a Super Smash Bros. tournament across from the music venue. What a weekend! 🥳

This message is coming to you from Prague where tensions are high as locals fear the zombie apocalypse. Reports have been coming in of sightings of disheveled, unwashed, red-eyed, grunting beings wandering the streets demanding something unintelligible. Don't worry, it's just us on week 6.5 of our 7-week tour. After 30-something shows in 10 countries, we're ready to sleep for the first half of September...and then tear apart the stage at Turbo Haus on Sept 19th! We've got an opening band with a Yiddish pun in their name - obligatory for all klezmer bands - the Red Hot Chili Shleppers!
If we can survive this tour, you can survive being packed into Turbo Haus with us for a few hours. Will we have showered by then? The only way to know is to come to the show.

$20 - Tickets at the door only
8pm - Doors
21pm - Music
