Nearly 300 participants from 25 schools, all making games in under 48 hours. Being a part of Chillennium for the last three years has been one of the highlights of my college career.

Thank you to all the participants, volunteers, mentors, judges, faculty, sponsors, and officers who made all this possible. Y’all made my time as Director a blast. Looking forward to where next year’s team takes the event.

Hey team!

Exciting news from the weekend: our LIVE Lab crew dominated Chillennium! Among 300 participants from 25 schools, it's our tradition to showcase our skills, and boy, did we deliver!

A huge shoutout to Bryn Shellenback's team for clinching the coveted Best in Sound award – absolute champions! 🎶🚀

But beyond the accolades, it's the camaraderie, creativity, and community spirit that make events like Chillennium so special. Another successful chapter in our journey, and we couldn't be prouder!

Keep slaying, team! 🎮💥

I made a game in just 48 hours!

The Texas A&M Chillennium Game Jam is an event where people from all around group up for a game development competition with a identical prompt, little to no sleep, and 48 hours until a crisis (also known as pens down).

I was in a group of four with Kat Kornegay, Brooke Slaughter, and Xavier Flores, and we made a game called “Home is Where the Heart is” where you play as a parasite, but I’m too lazy to write a hook, so just read what Kat wrote:

Viruses have taken over your host's body! Run and shoot to make it to the heart and defeat the King Virus!

Check out the link in my bio if your interested in playing it or just checking it out! I promise it’s not malware.

At tonight’s informational, members got to learn about the organization and participate in exercises to develop game concepts. This semester’s Game Jam theme was revealed to be “Descent into Madness!” We can’t wait to see what TAGD comes up with in just a few months! 🎮 #tagd

The Texas A&M Department of Visualization hosted it’s 4th annual student-run game jam, Chillennium, this past weekend where 350 college students from around the U.S. and Canada competed to plan, design and develop a video game in 48 hours based on a certain theme given. This year’s theme was “Transformation”. Photo by Elizabeth Liu.
