These frosty mornings here at Cuiltybar House really are beautiful, but, it does make it hard to get out of your cozy bed in the morning when there’s no insulation in the attic. 🥶. I may need to move this to the top of the list. #sligowhoknew #irishautumn #ireland #dıy #irishcountryhouse

Wrong tile on the wall?! No, just a trick of the light waking me up faster than a pot of coffee poured down my throat. The way light bounces around the room can fully make things appear to be a completely different colour. It’s an amazing watching the tile change colour when I move it from one wall to the next. Everything will even out when we have the new paint and lighting in the bathroom. Trust the process, stay the course. Check out our YouTube channel to watch us fix up our 300 year old Georgian home in the west of Ireland. We have so much to do. There’ll be plenty to see. Absolute chaos over here at Cuiltybar House. We have a mad push for the next few weeks to prepare for our next round of house guests! I explained in our last YouTube video why I’m doing things out of order, if you’re curious, head on over and have a watch of that one, also, New video out this Sunday over there! #sligowhoknew #sligo #ireland #georgianhouse #homerenovation

We know it’s going to be a long process to restore this Georgian home, I wish we could do some of the work this fast! We’ll keep plugging away though.

Feels good to be past the messy grout stage , especially this inky black stuff that gets EVERYWHERE. We now have a fully functional shower. It’s been a longer road than expected to get here, but, here we are. What a beautiful place to wash off all the grime from the never ending diy projects here at Cuiltybar house. #georgianarchitecture #sligowhoknew #ireland #dıy #showertile

When you find yourself in a cute, new to you town (what’s up Dromahair!), and it’s 22 degrees out, you grab a sneaky pint and a bag of crisps and soak up the amazingness of it all. Such a cute little (300 year old) pub with such a lovely proprietor - the pub has been in her family for 6 generations! Oldest pub in Leitrim. 💚 🍻

Been lucky to have dad here helping out with the shower, love, love, love, how it’s turning out! The view from inside 😍. This is just a sneaky peak, well, it’s not actually done so I can’t show you the finished product just yet. Follow along to see what we’re up to over here at Cuiltybar house. Plenty more projects to keep us busy for another few thousand years or so. #sligo #homediy #houserenovation #sligowhoknew #irishcountryhouse

Well, despite the misplaced eclipse glasses (I know we packed them!) and clouds (which cleared shortly after totality of course) we managed to see a bit of the eclipse thanks to a little ingenuity. Stayed up late for the perseid show thanks to the still clear skies, but no footage of that because I am not a wizard. 💫 #eclipse2026🌔🌘🌓🌒 #eclipse2026

Really putting in the work over here at Cuiltybar house to get some bathroom remodels done. Ooooooooo it’s going to be great to have a new, fresh shower to use, especially since it has a beautiful view of the ox mountains from it. #sligowhoknew #georgianarchitecture #diy #diyhomeprojects #homerenovation

A lovely day at the @bonniconlonshow today, so glad the weather held out while we were there ogling all the cars, tractors, and livestock. Fun day out. 🤗

We’ve been busy this summer over here at Cuiltybar house. We rented a cherry picker and took full advantage of it while we had extra help knocking around.
We were curious of the damage under the ivy and were shocked to see the state of the walls under it. This plant, though lovely to look at hanging on the outside if a heritage stone building, is massively destructive. Remove it before it does too much damage to your old house. #sligowhoknew #sligo #ireland #ivyremoval #georgianarchitecture
