7793. “I was obsessed with the marketing campaign for Cloverfield.”
-
Currently, Blake Weil is completing his Psychiatry residency at @rutgers_njms. However, throughout his life he’s had about 800 serendipitous moments that’ve contributed to his side hustle.
-
At 8 years old, he was watching tapes, preparing for his trips to theme parks like @waltdisneyworld. By 14, he became obsessed with the movie, “Cloverfield,” thanks to its viral immersive Alternate Reality Game.
-
At the same time, Blake enjoyed acting in the shows in high school, and afterwards became the one evaluating them. On top of studying Psych & Marketing at @univmiami, he became the all things critic for the school newspaper.
-
He also dabbled in Comic Con, which led him to the LARPing scene, and through his friend, Michael, he ended up at an immersive theater show in NYC. Through that 2018 show, Blake became fascinated with immersive theater, and ever since he’s written about it for the magazine, @no_proscenium.
-
Now, he covers experiences like @halloweenatesp and @gravestonemanor; however, he does so in addition to his medical career, sometimes pulling 24 hour shifts to help those in need! So nice to meet you, @chimerrata!
•
How we met: Blake came across my project via his friend, @k_br_n (#7721) and then DM’ed me to meet!
