My first time singing at the Grammy’s and I got to do it with @johnlegend in a beautiful performance of unity, love and hope! You know #teamtj loves Uncle John!! #teamlegend for life! 💪🏾 It was moving to unite in music for all of the families, including those of our fellow performers, that are fighting for freedom right now. Thank you @jemelmcwilliams as always for inviting me to be a part of your world! You both are master craftsmen but then throwing @adamblackstone and all of these amazing singers into the mix made this experience unforgettable and one I am proud to have been a part of! ❤️

This week’s #ArtistSpotlight is alum @chinaaorr!
⁣
Chinaa has not let this downtime stop her from her craft, as her project as a part of @allnationsmusic debuted at #1 in Christian and Gospel and #2 across all genres! You can catch Chinaa’s powerhouse vocals on Track #5 of the project. ⁣
⁣
We took a moment to ask Chinaa how these past few months have shaped her art, to which she responded: These past few months have been heavy on self discovery & pace. There’s been a lot of personal transitions happening at once that require me to prioritize not only my creative process, but also my personal wellness. I've developed new skills & made new connections that I'm excited to go into this next stage of life with! Super happy to be alive, healthy, & surrounded by the ones i love most.⁣
⁣
Thank you, Chinna, for sharing your art with us!

Finding the proper way to honor a legend is a not a task for the weak. And let me tell you, I sat here & questioned my strength whilst creating this post. But you know what always builds me back up in moments of uncertainty? @chinaaorr’s God-given vocal chords. When the Lord created July 12th, He did so that Chinaa Thee Orr could have a day purely meant for her birth. Anyone here know someone else born on this day? Me either. I encourage you all to take a moment to wish this vessel of all things melodic and pitch perfect a Happy Birthday. The Grapeseeds thank you for 25 years of sonic perfection.

If you know of anyone who is a grapeseed or a grapeseed-in-training, please refer them to this page. We’re 27 followers shy of a hundred-man revolution and we need all hands on deck. The birthday girl’s career is soaring and we need all the support we can get!!!

Blessings 🍇

A million little miracles ——

I have said it over + over, this was by far the hardest year of my life. The trauma, heartbreak, + depression I survived is unprecedented for me.

By now, you have seen how much my Nana meant to me + how losing her left me with very little hope + joy. I didn’t want to hear from God, I shut my mouth, and shut Him out because I didn’t want to hear about my future because I couldn’t see past trying to survive from day to day. I didn’t trust any of the prophetic voices around me + God honored my request to keep them silent concerning me.

On @iamjessicasilas’ birthday I allowed her to prophesy to me because I trusted her + God used her to share his heart with me and pull me out of the cave and into functioning above my grief. I will forever be grateful for her + that moment.

This is a recap of moments + people who in one way or another set themselves around me as a hedge naturally + spiritually, whose love + companionship kept me alive when the grave of grief tried to swallow me up. Thank you guys for loving me + never making me feel like my sadness was a burden. I was eclipsed by sadness + you all still chose to look at me + gave me your light. I cannot thank you enough.

As I look back on this year, I am glad to have survived, glad to be loved, and glad that it is over. I understand the value of friendship + community in a new way. Cheers to friends who are family by choice and CHEERS TO 2022! The latter shall be greater!
