#BlackHisoryLivesHere

Whether it's plays/ skits commemorating “Negro Leagues Baseball History” or a powerful theatrical debut detailing the life of “Ida B. Wells and Anti-Lynching”, drama is a tremendous tool to expose youth in our community to African-American History, foster Self-Development, and much, much, much, more…

STEM was originally a government initiative to “help empower future generations through science, technology, engineering, and math to grow a dynamic, inovative economy.” Recently the “A” was added to STEM to include the arts, but how much emphasis, if any, is put on “DRAMA” as part of this addition? Traditionally within education drama has been seen as a soft option, it was often viewed as a GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) choice for students who are less academically capable, and few links are made between the benefits of drama and other areas of the STEM curriculum.
-Wim Teach & WimLearn

We @BuckLeonardAssociation realise drama isn't only a great way to teach youth #BlackHistory365, but there are an array benefits from "Theater Education" such as... - Self-Confidence, Imagination, Empathy & Tolerance, Cooperation & Collaboration, Concentration, Communication Skills, Problem Solving, Fun, Trust, and Memory.
