Hey guys! My name is Michael and I will be one of our club’s project managers for the year. I am a senior majoring in Marine Science with a concentration in Biological Oceanography.

I’ve participated in some of our school’s programs such as the Semester at CMAST and the Bonaire scientific diving course. I’m also open water diver certified, and I am currently working on my advanced certification.

I love playing music and staying active. You’ll probably find me in Carmichael playing basketball a lot during the semester.

I look forward to hanging out with you guys this year. We got some fun events coming up this fall so make sure to come out!

Throughout the past week, I have spent most of my days and evenings being honored for my work over the last four years. I’m happy to announce that I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Marine Sciences, biological oceanography concentration, with a minor in Music Performance, and a B.S. in Biological Sciences. These four years have been an incredible journey that have taught me a large range of new things. From the stomach contents of dolphins to perfecting food order timings on Grubhub, it has been a phenomenal experience. I made incredible friends in so many different places and found mentors that let me flourish in research. Here’s to opening a new chapter in my book of life! Forever and always, go pack!!! 🐺❤️🎓

Exhuming minke whale bones is just as cool as you could imagine. While it may have been cold in the middle of February, it was such a cool and stinky experience 🐋
