my love for art + prints and community organising finally culminated into one.

getting to organise @klartbookfair on this level was definitely a dream come true, more than 6 months of work was in the making (with a lot of internal battles and doubts) and i’m so so so proud of everything that came to be <3

thank you to @driv for entrusting me to manage this project for 2025, and giving me the space to contribute for the event and your vision, i respect your kindness and the amount of heart you put into the fair every single year so so so much.

+ so much gratitude to the other half of our shared single bren cell @cy_brenda for being my co-partner through thick and thin (legit), i couldn’t have done it without you and our late night co-working / yapping / katseye vocal stimming calls.

more thank yous are in order: to the entire team (@kancaleb @lightwind.in.mind @p.c_.k @chingychann) for all the hard work that was put in, it was an honor getting to collaborate alongside you; to @poongster for your guidance throughout, your shoes were very big to fill (i hope i did you justice!); to the volunteer and event team, your participation has helped push the entire project to the finish line!; to the book launch team a.k.a. the bestest team ever, you guys are so loved; to the @newnaratif team for being the best teammates, i’m so glad we got to booth and sell the merch we worked so hard to produce!!!

and ofc to my fam and all the friends who have been supporting me in doing this and also came to the fair, your love and care is deeply felt and appreciated <3

to everyone who i corresponded with via months and months of emails and finally getting to meet in person at the fair, it brings me so much joy to be able to see you and your works presented to the people of KL! thank you too for acknowledging the work we put in for the fair and to know that we have helped to make your experience here a little better (despite the stormy weather, what were the odds of having the first tropical storm in 24 years lmao), it really put a huge smile on my face to know that our hard work doesn’t go to unnoticed :)
