Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of Xeno Futurism: Technologies of Domination last week. It evolved into a genuinely vibrant evening of discussions. Special thanks to Newspeak House for hosting, and to our speakers
@everydayanalysis @ivarfrisch @willemworld @chiobutch
for expanding the conversation around the architectures of domination. Curating this issue and launch has brought together a remarkable community of researchers, artists and writers testing new methodologies for technics and for imagining critical futures. For those who weren’t able to make it, the talks were recorded and will be available on YouTube shortly 🌐 Photo credit @rosiepetale

We’d like to invite you to the launch of Xeno Futurism: Technologies of Domination celebrating the release of our second issue, which explores how power operates through digital and technological systems. The evening will open with remarks from the editors @nrxru @blackmarket_tt introducing the editorial vision behind Issue 2. Our keynote speaker, Alfie Bown @everydayanalysis (King’s College London), will examine the technological and psychoanalytic dimensions of the digital, sharing ideas from his forthcoming work Psychotic Capitalism. We’ll then dive into a panel discussion with contributors from Issue 2, each expanding on the research and concepts behind their pieces:
— Ivar Frisch @ivarfrisch on Accelerating Machine Vision into Darkness
— Willem Deisinger @willemworld on Psychopolitics, Amulets, and Psychohacking
— Blue Lam @chiobutch on Daoist Philosophy and Cosmotechnics as Gateway to Reconciling our Relationship to the Cyberspace We’re excited to celebrate the work of our contributors and engage in critical discourse on the ideas shaping the new issue. 🗓 26 November
🕕 6:00–9:30pm
📍 Newspeak House, 133 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 7DG
🔗 RSVP via Luma. Link in bio Poster: @myen_000

Perhaps we choose our afterlife, to rest, to return, to become cosmic beings and reject humanity, to return as prism fractals that manifest in multiple forms, to do a combination of all the options.

It was a joy hosting the latest in our ‘Supper in the Studio’ series on Friday in honour of our friend @parrabi’s visit to London. In 2023, she was the first artist to participate in Maison Pan’s residency programme in Beirut, and last week she led a life-drawing workshop at the space in London – photos to come. Thanks to each of our lovely guests for spending the evening catching up with us about professional projects and personal escapades 🍷✨ (Artworks on display in the studio by @marie_obegi 🎨)
