Went to the shops this evening. Reached into the drivers seat pocket to grab a grocery bag and pulled out 2 dog leads the Emergency Vet hospital gave me when Chiz was sick.
Got home, started to sort my coffee shelves and the poem from the pet crematorium fell into my hand.
Today was 6 months..
Miss you too mate. Still so lucky you picked me.

Hey Chiz, a full month has now passed.

It’s sucked.

Although there was a couple of months of warning it was much sooner than expected and happened very suddenly. It hit me harder than I thought it would, which I guess shows how tight we were.
It’s very true that you were my best mate, bar no one. For 11 years it was really just you and I making our way. Partners in crime, you were like a little extension of me, and even more so once we moved west.
Watching you breathe your last breath broke my heart. But I wouldn’t have it any other way, with you right until the end, just like you always had my back even when the chips were down.
I still hope that I helped you become the awesome attitude-packed, super charismatic, smart little scheming legend that you were. Soo many good memories you created for so many people. I know the pain will never fully fade but I am starting to smile more when thinking or talking about you.
You taught me a lot, but I think the main thing you taught me was about being a better person.
You’ll always be my Number 1 ✨
I hope you always have that big smile on your face wherever you are 🧡❤️

• 12 Toes to Bar
• 20 Push Ups
• Run 400m

This one got spicy real quick. Pretty much holding on from the 6th round
