I wish everything were as simple as laying out the clothes a man wears each day. There is a certain peace in it. You put things where they belong. You look at them for a while. And sometimes, if you are lucky, you begin to see things clearly.

I laid them on the floor and looked at them. The denim had faded. The leather had creased. There were marks where the years had done their work. I knew every one of them. I knew how they had come to be. Nothing was hidden. Nothing needed explaining.

I wished life were like that.

Things have been hard lately. Harder than I care to say. And I have come to understand that money is not always the thing a man needs most. Sometimes he needs quiet. Sometimes he needs to wake up in the morning with peace in his mind.

Clothes are my truth. You wear them, and they wear down. There is no escaping it. But God, there is something fine about seeing the marks you have left on the things you own. They have been with you. They have taken the weather and the miles. And somehow they are better for it.

Perhaps we are much the same. We are still here. Worn and weathered. Not quite what we once were.

But here. And that must count for something.

Give me a tweed jacket and a well-faded pair of jeans. Pretty much set to go.

Date #19 of 26 Dates in 2026 ❤️🍝

We’re calling this one “You Pick, I’ll Trust!”

The rules were simple: I picked David’s outfit, he picked mine. Then we headed to an Italian restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland, where he ordered my drink and dinner, and I ordered his!

No changing outfits. No sending food back. Just a little trust, a lot of laughs, and stepping outside our comfort zones.

After 40 years of marriage, we’re still finding new ways to make date night fun! ❤️

Would you trust your spouse to pick your outfit AND your dinner? 😂👇

Still pretty stoked with how these 90s Levi’s fit. NGL, the inspo for these was one of the pairs of vintage Levi’s that Austin Butler has been photographed wearing. Basic celebrity influence, but I just really liked the way they fit on him and how he styles them with white tees (and cropped boxy tees) and cowboy boots, so I thought I’d try out the look for myself.

There was a time a few months ago, I couldn’t comfortably wear these TCB 505s anymore cuz I’d put on a few pounds. However, by increasing my cardio recently, they’re starting to fit a little better again. 🏃🏻‍♂️📉👍🏻
