The first time I heard @chizabam, I knew I was listening to someone who genuinely loved the craft of writing with purpose. Every verse feels intentional. Every line sounds weighed before it ever reaches the microphone. His pen isn't built around filler or empty flexes; it's built around ideas, imagery, conviction, and substance. You can hear an MC who's timeless.

Then there's @slumprophecy with @butchware (Professor Rudolph Ware), Chizabam helped create a group that isn't afraid to tackle faith, history, identity, justice, and the human condition without sacrificing elite lyricism. Their music feels spiritually grounded while remaining rooted in hip-hop's tradition of challenging listeners to think deeper. That's a difficult balance to strike, and they do it with authenticity.

For me, Chizabam represents something that's becoming increasingly rare: an emcee who still treats every verse like literature. You don't just hear his music, you sit with it. You rewind it. You catch something on the fifth listen that you missed on the first. That's the mark of a writer who respects both the art form and the listener.

Salute to Chizabam. One of the sharpest pens of this generation, and an artist who deserves to be mentioned whenever the conversation turns to modern lyricists carrying the torch for real hip-hop. Much love to Slum Prophecy for proving that substance, craftsmanship, and fearless expression still have a place in the culture.

I’m a 🔻 pro- Palestinian. Not just a 🍉 Pro-Palestinian. The right to resist is enshrined in international law but as I have said many times. It is not a right; it’s a responsibility. And that’s why the Zionists are trying to keep me off the ballot and out of debates.

With my Palestinian sister at arms the producer and activist @arianabazlamit after my event at the @harriettubmancenter - full photos from the event coming later today. In the meantime she supports @hibrfalastin and you should too.
