“Forgiver” is about anger and power and punishment, as well as Robert Altman’s “The Long Goodbye” (1973) It comes out this coming Tuesday, October 27.

I recommend watching the aforementioned film over the weekend to get into the feeling of the song, though getting into the feeling of the song does not necessarily require viewing the film I just basically think it would be fun.

“Forgiver” part 1 lyrics:

I wonder who I am to you
Every day, every day
I’m putting on a suit and tie
Walking straight into the ocean
On a warm LA night

‘Cause there’s a fantasy we move to California
And in a state I wander too far from the shore
And there is no one there to save me
Not even you
But in the early morning hours
With the cops and neighbors on the beach
Drinking cognac and coffee
You are crying for me
You are crying for me

@modernsilentshorts 2026 Tour Part 1 - 3rd year documenting this wonderful event, this time over the course of a few days in some magical spaces. This year @kevindunuld ‘s score got to shine even brighter than ever before, and the band played better than ever. So grateful to @soonest.mended and @mike__bloom for creating this whole crazy thing. God I love watching movies with people… especially my friends… especially movies made by friends…

(Sadly @kevindunuld ‘s score isn’t public yet otherwise I’d be sharing it with you)
