Dear marching band…

Joining band my 6th grade year was the greatest decision I have ever made. I never would have thought that a simple school elective could change my life but man was I wrong! The countless hours, sweat, tears, and dollars put into that program have shaped me into the person I am today and I can say I have never been prouder to be a “band kid!” I learned to love myself through my love for music because of the continuous dedication and positivity shown throughout the band. The community I got to be a part of for the past 4 years has shown me that even the weirdest of people can be the most impactful. I will never forget all of the memories made at contests and tedious rehearsals because those memories are some of my happiest. My love for life only continues to grow through of band because I get the opportunity to make music and watch that music bring joy to the people around me!
