Journey to Joy is a six-day gathering for LGBTQIA+ folks who want to rest, play, move, laugh, feel, and be surrounded by people who understand the nuances of navigating the world, the softness, and the longing for freedom.

Wellp… it’s been a long time coming to make this post.

Portland, it’s been an incredible ride. But it’s our time to head back to the ole home town now to raise our little bambino’s with our very wonderful large families! If you know me, you know I’m sobbing as I write this.
It’s a bitter sweet change. I never thought I would leave this city to go back home but dust and I both feel we want the kids to experience what it’s like to have such close nit families! We are very lucky to have also made such a tight loving community here in portland. And we will miss it dearly.
Leaving my best friend, the music, the FOOD and the weather will be hard but we are very ready for new adventures as a family of four in Cali!

As for @beggars_canyon , the incredible Steve! Will be filling my shoes. He’s incredibly dedicated and talented and I can’t wait to see what else they do as a band in the future.
Time is flying by y’all, let’s Grab coffee/food. Go to the park. Go for a walk. Eat weird chip flavors. Play a song together. Hug each other. Laugh/Cry together. Whatever it may be. Times a wastin, love yall!
Move date March-ish 2027. 🌸

Aside from traveling, shooting weddings, and editing.. this is what my life has looked like this summer. A really shite time spent with family as we navigate my sister’s shite diagnosis, with a handful of cute photos that I obviously took to remember this shite time. In the chaos of it all I turned 30 which is kinda chic of me. I’m so grateful for my community, there’s an army of you (some not pictured here and you know exactly who you are). What a gift you are to me. Things that used to keep me up at night no longer hold a candle to what’s important now. I think this phase in my life (ever since I turned 30 emma lol) is about healing my nervous system, loving whole heartedly who I am, and being a better villager. As sharty as cancer is.. it’s really opened my eyes to all the love people posses and so generously share. Speaking of posses, I don’t know what possessed me to type all of this out. Anyway, I’m 30 now so I can do whatever I want. I don’t know how to end this.

Ps the kids are all good in the second photo but they weren’t good for like 10 min after it was taken.

I just got this stunning art print from Chloé @chloebbren I love her vibrant colorful style and I noticed the lack of black paint which is very reminiscent of impressionistic art. As an artist I love art obviously and I love supporting other artists! Chloé does amazing dog portraits and her landscape and flowers are captivating. Check out some of her work!

✨Happy 5 months✨ lil (big) Davey! You’re such a sweetie pie!
He gives the sweetest smiles, big giggles and LOTS of drool. At his check up a few weeks ago he weighed in at 21 pounds! I’m guessing he’s more than that now. 🤣
He’s been trying some foods, loves bananas the most.
Loves to be outdoors or hanging out with his crazy big sis. I wish these months would slow down. But we are soaking up every minute with you sweet little papa. 🥲💘
